Planet Hollywood Question

I feel like I should know the answer to this question, but for the life of me, I can't reason it out Disney style.

We are on the DDP. Our first night there DS asked for Planet Hollywood for his birthday. Not what I would pick, but hey, it is what it is. Can I use my voucher above and beyond the dining plan to get an appetizer or two to share? I guess this would be a separate bill and an additional tip, but I don' mind that.

I used my voulcher there, however it's been 4 years ago, but i can't see them changing it.

From posts I saw last year is they don't allow you to use the voucher and the DDP at the same time.

I heard others say you can go to the bar and order the appetizers/drinks there eat and then use the voucher and then go to the table and use the DDP for your meal.

Thank you for the answers. I think I will just use it on a drink on another DTD day. Couple of drinks and I am positive I will hit the limit.
