Where are these located and are they must "do's"?

Food wise neither one of them are must do's IMHO but they're OK. The atmosphere is kind of fun. It depends what you are looking for.

I think we'll do Planet Hollywood. The kids will like that huge Woody that's in there

You say DTD-- Where is that? What park? I mean so I know if I Should call ahead for Priority seating etc...

I have eaten at Planet Hollywood in Atlanta and Myrtle Beach and really can't say that it's a place that I have to go. Really would be way down the list (near the bottom) although I did get Ricky Watters (NFL player) autograph in Atl.
Hard Rock, if you have kids you may want to rethink that one because the music is really loud there. I have been to the Atl., MB and Universal locations and they are all about the same. If you go, get a Pig Sandwich .

We are going with people who have never gone to either place. I want to make this trip memorable for them! So I made PS for 12/24...

We prefer PH! We have had a few really good meals there and it isn't as loud as the HRC.

I think the food at both is pretty poor. House of Blues has much better food if you are looking fora fun atmosphere. I just had a basket of tenders and fries from there Tuesday night. (they don't serve the full menu in the concert hall side where I was, otherwise it wouldn't have been my first choice)
