Ok, this really is not interesting to anyone, but I'm still so relieved to finally have all of our flights arranged for our Dec trip. The wife is actually coming out on a different flight, so the kids and I really wanted to coordinate our flights with similar arrivals and departures.

I've been watching the delta prices for months and yesterday they dipped down low enough that I thought we should go for it. Flights have been reduced and seats are filling up.

We got almost perfect flight times and we are on my wife's same non-stop on the return, all for the lowest delta fare! Yeah. now I can relax a little.

:cool1:

Congratulations! I'm sure that's much less stressful with that out of the way. Just make sure the airline has your e-mail in case flight changes occur (I have my cheapie flights on AirTran for Nov. and have had 5 schedule changes already!) so you can get on it quickly.

Funny thing is, we had a schedule change that worked to our advantage. I bought the wife a first class ticket with miles on a nonstop (she's traveling with infant), I wanted her to be most comfortable. Problem was only the 5pm departure was available for a reasonable number of miles so we bought that one fully expecting her to have to arrive at the resort at midnight. I was going to pay a $100 change fee if availabilty for the 9am departure ever showed up.

However, it seems delta completely cancelled the 5pm flight! My wife was automaticallly moved to the 9am departure! yea! They also reduced the aircraft from a 757 to a 737, so in terms of nonstop options they went from two 757s to a single 737 per day...ouch.

congrats on booking the flight! Prices are so high right now its sad! where are you coming from?

Congrats! ! And yes, as a matter of fact it is interesting to us people who always sweat the airfare. How good is the deal and time can I get.

thepops… can’t beat you on the times they’ve changed my flight ….I hit three yesterday. They made it two stop-over’s instead of one. But…..on the last fight, take off time was before we made it into the airport ! ! LOL…..If ya buy ticket early check…check and recheck for schedule changes.

the worst was I got one e-mail on Wed that moved me from a nonstop to a connection (and a crappy) one, fixed, that and got another on Friday. When I went to look to change that, my original "cancelled" flight was back on! I asked the Service Rep what was up with that and were they trying to bump me since I had a low fare. She insisted it was a different flight than my previous one. I told them this seemed very shady and might need to be reported. Strangley, haven't had a change since! (now I just jinxed it).

Congrats. Good airfare is hard to find latley. We got Jet blue for 1000.00 for 4 seats. I thought it was a great deal.

thepops....just think if you'd not received the emails about changes ! ! I don't get them all the time, so I've learned to go to the airline site and check every few weeks.

Guess we all shouldn’t complain though. We're lucky enough to be able to afford to take vacations.

Yup, but when you can snag tickets for N. VA to orlando for $129 R/T I guess you have to expect to work a little to keep them correct. ... hmm. maybe I will go check their web site to make sure....
