Plane Tickets Booked - and CHEAP!

Our plane tickets are booked!!!! I found a great deal on Southwest from Kansas City to MCO for $49 each way! For both of us, the total with tax was only $240!

Now we just need to pay off the trip and we will be set! We are still trying to decide if this should be an adults only trip or if we should bring my 4 year old DS. I feel a little guilty, but me and my boyfriend really need some grown up time - alone. We are still considering. I wish we could find someone who would want to come with us and get a separate room, and keep DS with them, so he could still come, but we could get our alone time. We were just there in March, so I don't feel like I am depriving DS or anything! If we do decide to bring him, we will just buy tickets on the same flights and add him to the reservation with CRO.

Now THAT is a deal! That must be on that new airline, I read something about a new airline with $9 flights out of the northeast. Congrats on the low-fare find!

Wow and I thought I got a good deal! I just booked Chicago Ohare to MCO for 700.00 for 4 people. Well to me it is a great deal since last year I paid 500.00 more than that for the same trip. I don't like that I have to pay 20.00 per bag that we check on United each way!

Southwest has nonstop flights from Chicago-Midway to MCO and they don't charge for the 1st or 2nd bag. They will also let you make changes to your flights without charging (you just pay the difference if the fare is more). They don't deal with any of the online travel companies. You just book direct on southwest.com. Plus they let you pick your seats! I love that, having been assigned seats that are away from each other on other airlines before. Oh, and they have great snacks compared to what the others have! Perhaps you can fly on them for your next trip. For you that will be great, Midway is so nice compared to big old O'Hare! It does sound like you got a great deal at $175/pp round trip though. Originally me and my boyfriend were just going to have a grown up trip, but we decided to take my son. The sale I got was over...and I just paid $1 more for my sons fare than I paid for me and DBF's fare TOGETHER! I am bummed I missed the sale! I am keeping an eye on it though....Southwest will also let you take a cheaper fare if the price goes down, and they issue you a credit that can be used within 1 year towards future flights. I am hoping they go back on sale!

I know Southwest has some great deals but they don't have the dates I need yet, so I got nervous with summer coming I thought the rates wouldn't go any lower than what I got so I booked it. Ohare is so much closer and easier for me to get to also, but I did consider it. Hey I guess I will just have to plan another trip!
