PlanDisney Panelist Search 2025 Applications Open July 8

So who else realized right after submitting that they should have tweaked something? I realized I should have just put my last initial instead of my full last name on my title card I added to my video

Do you think that matters at this point in the process? I didn't even think of that. My head was in case they had multiple Kim P.

I think it probably doesn't. I can't imagine that would be a reason for a rejection. I just realized that's how current panelists are listed... Admittedly my name is less common than Kim. And it's not like they're using these videos for public release, so I think we're good. It was just a thought I had

I don't even have my name written anywhere in the video. I say it, and it is the title of the video, but it is not written anywhere.

I capitalized the word magic in one spot and probably shouldn't have. I was intentional with it bc I was referring to specifically Disney Magic, but I think I should have left it lower case. Whatever- if that's enough to cut me, then next year I'll be careful. I was intentional, but I think I shouldn't have.

I don’t think it matters which way you do it! But I totally get the temptation to overanalyze every application detail after the round closes. Because I’m totally guilty 😂

Did y'all see the announcement that planDisney will now answer questions about Disneyland Paris and Disney Beach resorts? How do you think that will affect our process? Weird to me that they announced it during the search instead of before
I dont know that it changes anything for us. They may be looking at current planDisney panelist that have experience with the travel to those locations or even a number that applied this year that ALSO have that experience. Just provides more opportunities.

I’m guessing that’s why they asked about experience in those areas on the R1 application! Hopefully this means they’ll take a slightly larger class this year.

OMG, you're right, they did! I hadn't remembered they asked because it was a question I just said no to, but you're right! It's right there! And I agree If it means a larger class, I'm all for it! ...I'm not going to lie, my first instinct was that I'd be at a disadvantage because I have no experience there and there would be some spots reserved for that

Even though they asked on the R1 application, I was still surprised. If they were looking for new panelists to answer DLP, etc. questions, I would've thought they'd add a recency requirement. I was able to check off DLP, but I haven't been since 2019.

Maybe they don't expect to get enough questions about them for it to be anyone's primary focus, just secondary? So the recency requirement isn't as relevant...

I actually thought the Beach resorts would have already been covered under the DVC specialty

The DVC panelists have been answering questions about the beach resorts, but I’m guessing that many people (especially if they’re not DVC) didn’t realize they could submit questions about Aulani, HHI, and Vero. So this might increase the number of questions for those resorts!

So I may be wrong or missing info, but from browsing the DCL site, it seems like the only cruise completely within the training window is on the Wish
Did I hallucinate or did it say that in all the info? I thought they mentioned it in everything. Maybe that was last year they included the Wish specifically.

I didn't see anything specific, just that it was WDW and a cruise. Did I miss it? Very possibly!
