Ok we're almost halfway through the window. Mental health check! How's everyone doing? Who's already submitted?

I'll go first, I'm feeling pretty good about my video, but I did have anxiety dreams about needing to make a new one. I'm going to fine tune my written responses and submit today!

I submitted. All I can say is I did my best. I don't know if it's what they're looking for, but it is absolutely the best I could do. Last night I was very emotional bc it's just an opportunity that would mean the world to me, but I am aware that statistically there is almost no chance here!

I am about to film my video and submit shortly after! We shall see how long the filming takes hahaha.

Your best is fantastic, I am sure you knocked it out of the park, and if statistics get the better of your application, there is always another year. From what I understand, the collective group of panellists are put together like a puzzle. If they don't have a spot for you this upcoming year then they just might for another one. My attitude is I am also going to do my best and then if I don't make it I will have a better understanding of the process for the next time.

I finished my written answer Friday and filmed yesterday afternoon. After struggling with frustration about 4 seconds. I put it down for the night.

I have woken up this morning renewed and able to figure out the puzzle. Just need to edit a little more and it is ready to submit.

This is my 4th year and third making it to round 2. No matter what comes from it, I know I'll be right back at it next year, worst case. I would be an honor and privilege BUT I know everything happens for a reason. I'll grieve a little and I know I can't continue to watch the process for the current year because it just makes it worse. But I'll be checking next year for application opening!

I just submitted mine too! Do you think Disney was trying to mess with applicants when they created the name "Lightning Lane Multi Pass" with no hyphens?

I know!! I am ASSUMING we will find out the week of Labor Day since usually round 2 to 3 is 7-10 days (from what I've seen in past years) and that's 2 weeks from now... I had assumed we'd hear late August but since everything says September I'm hoping it's the first week. Even if it's a no, it'll be nice to know for sure!

They could be hoping to tell us earlier but not want to guarantee it. Like how no one gets angry if the wait time says 45 minutes but you only wait 20. But I agree, just after labor day seems most likely to me

Yeah, I had that thought too... I'm telling myself after LD so I just "move on" so to speak instead of obsessing. Yet here I am... clearly not moving on LOLOL.

2022 was 11 days and 2023 was 8. I didn't make it lastvyesr to round 2.

Yeah, based on timing in previous years, I thought we’d get R3 emails the Friday before Labor Day weekend. But the R2 emails took longer than usual, so who knows! It would be nice to know before Labor Day though

I thought of a new challenge for myself! I'm going to try finish knitting a sock before we get the round 2 results. (I have an in progress sock about half done, so 2 weeks is doable but not for sure)

Anyone else have projects or anything to keep their mind off the wait?

I LOVE that!! I have to get ready to go back to work so setting up my classroom, lesson plans, etc. Not nearly as fun, but it def is a solid distraction bc it takes up a lot of my time.

I'm eager for the window to be closed, which is silly bc mine is already submitted haha! It just feels like one step closer when the window is closed and you know they are officially reviewing them.

I feel the same way. Its just another indicator we are another step closer to finding out the results.
