I saw PlanDisney had a story on insta yesterday and my heart raced. When we got the emails for round 2 I only knew they were out as they posted on Insta I'm definitely thinking Tuesday/Wednesday next week

I *think* in the past they’ve only done the “check your emails” instagram post when R2 emails go out and not R3, maybe because so few people make it to the final round. Does anyone else remember? They could also change things this year!

I remembered last year the R2 emails went out on Aug 31, so I went back to see if they had originally said August or September in the submission confirmation email but couldn't find it... I was hoping they had said September so I could have hope we'd hear today, but no new data.

I went back and it looks like I submitted my R2 application last year on 9/10. The confirmation email said R3 people would be notified “via email in late September.” Then I received the decision email on 9/22.

My gut is telling me it won’t be until next week (particularly since they may have people who took off work for holiday weekend travel etc., so likely haven’t had adequate time to review all the submissions yet), yet here I sit… obsessively refreshing my email every half hour lol! It is torturous in the best possible way haha!

Last year the R1 submission confirmation said we’d hear back in September, but the results email came on Friday 8/31. For R2 submission, it said we’d hear back in late September, but it wasn’t close to being on the cusp of two months, so it came on 9/22.

So there’s a chance it can come today, even though the confirmation said September. But as time goes on today, I’m feeling like it’ll be next week. Especially with the longer than usual wait for R2 results this year. It seems like we can’t necessarily go by previous estimates unfortunately!

It's now 4:31 ET, I am assuming we are done for this week lol! Now to the obsession over next week... if it's not next week I'm gonna lose it. In my mind it's Tuesday... c'mon Tuesday!!

Happy September! Here's to hearing this week (HOPEFULLY)... Tuesday sounds AWESOME!!!

I'm selfishly just really hoping it's Tuesday or Wednesday. My students start Thursday and I'd just like to know before that. I had a very (unexpected) strong reaction to the round 2 news. I just assumed it would be a no so I really cried when it was a yes. I feel like I'll be emotional either way frankly lol! I'm expecting a no, but I just would like to not get this news with students. I realize I could not check my email at work, but I have minimal self control for that LOL! If we don't hear by Wednesday I might have to really force myself to wait until I'm home Thursday/Friday bc I need to focus on my students and not be checking this.
