plan for crowded weekend

We will be spending two nights at Royal Pacific, the Friday and Saturday after Easter. We will be getting there about 10AM after disembarking from a 4 day Disney Cruise. My 17 year old son specifically requested a Universal trip for Harry Potter. I know it will be crazy crowded but I teach, so there is no missing school for me, it has to be spring break.
I know we can't use the early entry on Friday because we will be too late to get much out of it. My plan is to go to the HP stuff anyhow at whichever park HAD early entry, wait if it's not too crazy for maybe one or two things. We will use express pass for other rides we may be interested in; we don't care about shows. DH and I were at Universal in 2009 so I know some things are just not worth the wait (I'm looking at you, Shrek), although a couple of them have been closed. I did really enjoy MIB and the Simpsons.
Then on Saturday make use of the EE for the other park, get those rides done and anything else. We have 3 day, two park tickets so we can bounce back and forth.
If needed, use EE on Sunday to get any HP stuff we missed at Friday's park before we leave (our plane leaves at 2 so we will probably get a cab at about 11:15).
Is this feasible? There really aren't any must dos for us besides HP so we can wait or do single rider if necessary. I am even hoping to get some downtime at the resort or eat at Margaritaville.

With EP you'll be fine.......

Of course the Gringotts ride and FJ don't accept EP but you're aware of that so you're prepared. You have park to park tickets so you're good to go with the Hogwarts Express........

You're plan sounds decent to me.......maybe someone else will chime in with pointers........

Hope you have a blast at Universal.......we adore RPR, beautiful hotel!

i would head to the parks once you check into the hotel.
look at the schedule for entertainment times (potter) and try to catch a few of them.
do the main potter rides if lines are reasonable
walk around those sections in both parks and explore all nooks and crannies.

for saturday, go for the EE and spend that first hour doing more in potterville.

use the ep for rides outside of potterville.
you can get a lot done if you have a plan.

www.universalorlando.com and pull up the map of the parks.
figure out the layout and what you want to see in advance to save time when crowds begin.

decide plan a and plan b if you run into big crowds or long waits for rides.
the maps will help you find everything in advance
restrooms, walkways, eateries, first aid, etc
