Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

Correct you only pay the LL Multi Pass price for your first park you visit per day: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/lightning-lane-passes

Here is the Disney text on Hopping:

On the day of your park visit, once you redeem a Lightning Lane Multi Pass selection (or once the arrival window has passed), you can use the My Disney Experience app to check availability for another Lightning Lane Multi Pass experience—and add to your plans.

You can make one at a time until regular park closing (subject to availability). If your park admission includes Park Hopper benefits, you can even choose a Lightning Lane Multi Pass experience in a different theme park.

Okay so just to make sure I understand: as long as I have a park hopper I can do this based on that language? If I did NOT have a park hopper, I would not have that option?

that's correct, I did read that park hoppers/APs are required to book passes at another park somewhere on the website yesterday

I hadn't thought about a no-cancellation policy. What if it rains or someone is sick? Hmm, not sure I want to put out that much money a week ahead of time unless I can get a refund.

All of the single passes are greyed out for me at each park. It says currently unavailable. This didn’t happen last night. Only the multipasses can be selected. Is this happening for anyone else? I hope this isn’t a problem at 7 am

I was curious to see if I could buy a LLMP for MK and other parks at the same time, but it looks like that's not possible. Once the selection was made for MK, I was unable to select other parks.
Once you use your first VQ at the park you purchase it for, you can book at any park if your ticket is eligible for park hopping. No need to purchase for a second park.
On the Purchase Lightning Lanes Passes page does anyone see beyond the month of August. It makes sense since August only shows available dates of 1 -14 in "Blue" as valid selections?

Dave
I would not anticipate seeing past Aug 14 today as that’s the date the longest ticket is eligible to book today. Tomorrow the date should increase by 1 to Aug 15th.
I'm confused about something: I only see booking per park. AK is way cheaper than the others. $17 for 7/26. Are we saying I can purchase AK and still park hop to use the pass in other parks? I don't see any option for multiple parks. Just MK, AK, DHS, Epcot individually. Any insight into this?
Yes, according to the Disney website, this is the case. Once you use the first VQ at the original park you may purchase for any park. What is not clear at this time is, are tiers involved in what you are eligible to book at the second park?

Ie if you use a Tier 2 at the first park, are you restricted to which attractions you can book next? Disney has never officially announced this detail either way. I’m hoping there are no restrictions but I don’t believe we know for sure.

Really looking forward to hearing:

1) If we have to do two separate multi pass bookings for split stays

2) If Tiana’s Bayou is available as lightning lane beginning today

3) if we can purchade single pass lightning lanes later and add them to existing Multipass reservations

4) availability of initial tier 1 rides at booking and additional tier 1 rides after tapping into first rides this week

5) if expired tier 2 lightning lanes allow you to book a tier 1 replacement

6) if we can modify tier 2 reservations to tier 1 after parking opening on the day we are in the park

7) if we can modify one of our original 3 reservations to be in a second park on the day we are in the park (ex. Book 3 in magic kingdom, tap into MK, immediately modify one of the lightning lanes to Epcot for the afternoon before using any)

8) if it’s easy to book the service with gift cards

This happened to us on our Dec 2022 trip with the SW meltdown, I bought everything planning to get there early, and then it did not work out. I chatted with Disney on the app and the refunded the unused parts.

Disney has confirmed that after using your first tier 2, you can book a tier 1 at the same park or another park

Disney has been rolling out code all night long so things have constantly been changing through the night. It’s not a simple ‘flip the switch’ at midnight but a rolling wave if code changes in various stages that build in one another.

Those who were awake were reporting changes at various times throughout the night.

Actually this did happen for me before I went to sleep @12:30am. It’s still showing that now.

We're here and trying to book for today and it says "purchase of LLMP is o longer offered"...does that mean they're sold out for today??

There was a MDE app update pushed out last night. Did you update the MDE app on your device this morning? You might be running yesterdays version of the app with the old Genie+
no but I'll update now - I can see "multi pass experience" under each ride on the tip board though. I just can't do anything, thought I'd have to buy the "pass" before selecting at 7am.

My location is "on".

Getting a screen that says it can not determine if I am in the US.....so not eligible

Presently at Kidani.

Any idea why I am seeing this?

No MDE app update was pushed last night. The discussion about changes late night were all web back-end functions be toggled for the MDE app.

The previous poster I quoted has since responded and an MDE app update on their device was pending. They have since updated the app and the option to purchase MPLL is showing for them.
