At DAK for Wednesday 8/28 currently have KS 8:25-9:25 and NRJ 9:25-10:25. Originally had FOTLK for 11AM show but was able to change it to 10AM show, and then was offered NRJ at 10AM but nothing earlier.

OK that explains your issue. It shows you the next available time slot for an attraction but then takes into account what you already have for LLMP selections around that time. It will not let you have very large overlaps of earlier LLMP selections or Dining reservations.

Some Guests have reported being able modify to have more attraction overlap while in the park. MDE really want's of offer you times after the current time window of about a minimum of 1 hour between return windows.

Nope! Just trying to overlap my LLMPs. I'm sure it has to do with ride popularity (e.g. Na'vi and Peter Pan), but I just find it curious that it would tell me a Na'vi at 8:15AM is available but when I try to modify it won't let me pick anything earlier than 12PM.

Ah, yeah the system only allows minimal overlap on those initial bookings before the day of your trip and it's possible it's harder to get that overlap when modifying times after you make that purchase than before*. We've had reports of modifying to overlap more day of and and even had someone report overlapping the morning of their trip before they arrived in the park- so you could give that a shot, obviously it will require availability though

*in one of EarScouts LLMP/SP YouTube vids a couple weeks back he said was he felt it was easier to modify times during the initial booking, before you purchase, so maybe that's something to keep in mind for anyone chasing that minimal overlap on the first 3 LLs?

Thank you. With FP+ we could usually show up around 9:30am to any given park and also take a 2-3 hour break in the afternoon (1pm -4pm or so) and still get to ride everything we wanted. G+ worked pretty similar but I "hated" having to get up at 7am EVERY DAY to book our first attraction.

I love that we can have 3 prebooked again. For our entire stay, I'm sure I can get pretty close to what we want with those first three. My big concern is what happens besides those 3. I'm hoping we can work it so that we can snag the additional tier 1's and 2's day of, especially since we are having to pay now. We were pro's at refreshing and making the most of the previous systems so I'm hoping we can do the same with MPLL.

Once you tapped into your first attraction, how difficult was it to find MPLL's for other popular attractions at the times you wanted? Looks like you were basically able to do it ALL. Did it take a lot of refreshing or searching?

It was not difficult. The first available Falcon one was about 2 hours out (at 9:30). The first MMRR was about 5 1/2 hours out at 1:00.
But, we were holding a Toy Story and Slinky one for most of the day so we couldn’t see their available times; you can only see your own times. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were gone fairly early.
RnR was down for a huge chunk of the day, so I doubt there was anything left for that and pretty sure Tower was gone fairly early as well.
Out of all the main rides, Falcon and MMRR seem to be the easiest to get as a 4th or 5th. I assume this is due to a high capacity. We could have gotten Falcon for earlier than we did, but wanted it to coincide with Rise to minimize walking. That may, or may not, have increased the choice we had for MMRR.
I did think that booking TSMM and Slinky back to back worked well. It was hot as Hades and there is no shade in that land. I love the theming but walking around the area kills me. Honestly, walking around studios in general can be rough. At one point I sat inside One Man’s Dream for about 15 minutes just to bring myself back to a normal temperature, lol. I wasn’t the only one.
I had gotten really good at FP+, hated Genie+ when it first came out but then got really good at that. I think with time, the new system will be workable as well. JMO

I just read through this thread to find the answer to this exact question! Same thing for me. It’s telling me there are earlier times available, but it won’t let me book them. It’s so funny since it let me significantly overlap when I booked everything when my window opened.
I wish it would let me see everything that’s available when I modify so that way I would risk canceling and rebooking if I had to to switch things around.

As recently as last night, I couldn’t change a later MPLL booking to move to 8 am. I am just rolling out of bed and tried to modify, and bam, I can overlap the heck out of everything, I now have 3 LLs between 8-9:15.

today was my booking day for a 3 night stay next week before our Fantasy cruise. I only booked for 8/30 because I didn't want to book for my arrival day or the day after which is the opening of Food and Wine.

I got

TOT 9:25am
Slinky 10:55am
TSM 11:55am

I'm hoping the day of to tighten up the schedule and pick up MMRR for the morning. We have tickets to MNSSHP for that night so I'm also hoping to pick up some MK LL's before the party. We shall see.

Thanks! Seems to confirm the suspicion if you want some overlap pre-booked it’s best to do it in the moment of booking.

Preparing for a trip in october and trying to learn ropes around the new system.

One of the days we are going we planned on parking hopping, starting for Epcot in the morning before jumping to Hollywood in the afternoon.

If I am understanding correctly, when you make your lightning lane reservations, they all have to be for the same park, you can only make reservations for other park rides after scanning in for your first one.

So a couple of questions:

1. Does this also apply to individual lightning lanes (i.e. if I make my reservations for Hollywood, does the ILL have to be for a ride in Hollywood, (meaning can I get an single pass for guardians, and use my multipass for hollywood rides?)
2. We were at Epcot not too long ago, so aside from guardians , there arent a lot of rides we feel are "must do" while we are there. So would it make sense for that day to try to prioritize getting afternoon reservations for rides in Hollywood? To me it sounds kind of like a waste waiting for the afternoon to use lightning lane, but also want to make sure we dont miss out on using it for the rides we really want to use it for.

When you say it won't allow any overlapping for ADRs, how soon after your reservation time will it allow you to book a MPLL? Is it accounting for an hour to eat? So if my ADR is at 12:00, it won't allow me to book a MPLL until 1:00-2:00? or is it even longer than that?

I don't know about AFTER the reservation time as we were print to do BEFORE but it wouldn't let me book a ride with a window 1 hour BEFORE my reservation, which was insane. HOWEVER, when I cancelled my ADR, I booked the MPLL and then re-booked the ADR and it let me and just now says I have "overlapping plans." It was definitely annoying because we felt like we worked so hard to get our ADRs and had to risk losing them in order to make the most out of MPLL. This could have been just for us though as we wanted to make sure we got 3 in early on. The lack of ride overlap was annoying too. It's not going to take me an hour to ride Haunted Mansion with MPLL, or at least it didn't with G+ and I couldn't get my times to overlap more than 5 minutes and with this new system there seems to be a lack of immediate availability. Usually we can get It's A Small World for example after scanning into Haunted Mansion and hop right over, but in watching Thrill Data for the days we are going, it looked like two Wednesdays before, for example It's A Small World was booking 1 hour out, but one Wednesday out for example it could be done immediately. The data doesn't seem as solid as it was with G+. Another example is I used to time, okay if we scan into Haunted Mansion by X time, we can get Thunder for x time and it solidly be within 10 minutes of the prior weeks. With this new system it's WAY more sporadic and differs by an hour+ from what happened the previous week and is hard to read.

1. LLSP can be made in any park, not restricted to your LLMP park
2. Just because you start your day in EP doesn't mean you have to book your LLMP for Epcot, if you don't want to use it for EP just book it for DHS from the beginning so you have a better selection to pick from.

This is good to know, and sort of frustrating to have to redo everything day of lol. But still good, as it does not take an hour or even 45 minutes to ride most rides lol. One of the most annoying aspects is we could not get overlapping more than 5-10 minutes pre-booking so glad to hear day of we can adjust if it's available.

So I am watching videos and getting a bit confused on how many MPLL you can hold. When you tap in your first ride you can book a 4th pass, is that 4th pass in total or now you can hold 4 passes and you actually quickly book 2 after tap in?

I am seeing people hold 4 passes in the video.

The tier 1 restriction appears to be only for the first set of bookings - so not all the top rides are gone before everyone going to the parks that day has a chance. After your first one is used or expired, you should be able to book another without tier restrictions and at any park (assuming you have park hopping options).
