Plain vs. flavored water

Does it make a difference how you get your water?? I'm not talking sugared drinks or anything, but if I drink half plain tap water and half flavored seltzer or spring water in a day, does that still count? I just like a little flavor sometimes!
 
I would love to know this. It might help me get all my waters in for a day if I can flavor some every now and then.
 
I used to drink only coffee and diet coke. Now I drink a little coffee in the morning and grape water for the rest of the day. I feel it was a very positive change even if I didn't go to straight water.
 

I cant stand regular water so I do half water and half crystal light or just add the powdered propel to my water, so far so good.
 
I don't think it matters. I'm not sure though. I used to drink 100 oz. a day in crystal light packet water. While I'm sure that's better than soda it was an awful lot of "fake" sugar to be drinking every day. So I cut way back and sometimes just mix in half a packet in a bottle of water.
 
I'm thinking now that it's sweeteners that may be more of an issue than just flavor (after doing a bit more research). Something to do with how your body processes a sweet drink vs. non-sweetened. I have some flavored seltzer that I really like, no sugar or Nutrasweet or Splenda, etc., just fizzy, flavored water. Sometimes I've just had enough of plain water when I'm trying to get my daily quota! :scared:

While we're on it, does anyone else find that drinking 8 glasses of water per day lands them in the bathroom every 30 minutes?!! (or am I simply the victim of the world's smallest bladder?!!...:rotfl: )
