Okay I know that these questions are kind of picky, but when you have a picky kiddo. We are going to be on the dlx plan if that makes a difference. I am just wondering if any TS restaurants would be able to do just a plain peanut butter sandwich on white bread or a plain bowl of pasta with butter even if it wasn't on the menu. There are times when my DD will try new things, but sometimes she just wants what she considers her comfort foods. I am tired of trying to plan all of our meals around the kids menu rather than considering what I might like as well. If most places could accomodate a simple request like that though I wouldn't worry so much about where we go. I know that the best place for picky eaters is probably a buffet, but I don't really care for most buffets for the food or just how hectic they are. Thoughts?????

The pb&j sandwiches are generally the snickers uncrustables that you can find in the grocery store. Some restaurants may be able to accommodate just a peanut butter sandwich but I don't know for sure. You would have to ask your server. Same goes with buttered pasta...doesn't hurt to ask.

YEAH DD wouldn't eat the smuckers uncrustables. I was hoping if we were eating at a signature restaurant that they would be more willing to accomodate a special request than a regular TS I guess. I know that there is no way she will eat an uncrustabel or the meaty macaroni that many TS have on the menu. Perhaps I will have to just continue planning around what she will eat. What I did when we were on the regular DP was to just keep a PB sandwich in my bag every day in case that is what she wanted, but I would only allow it for lunch at CS not at a TS. She loves fruits, veggies, pasta, rice, but she really isn't a meat or fish eater. She is a healthy eater, but it makes it hard when she won't always eat the normal kid choices.

Buttered noodles shouldn't be a problem. If you look at kids menus, they generally have a pasta on them. You should be able to ask for the pasta without the sauce and with butter.

The sandwiches may be more difficult. The restaurant will have to actually have a loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter in order to do this. At your resort you can go to the bakery counter and buy a couple slices of bread and grab peanut butter using a snack credit to make her your own peanut butter sandwich.

The pb&js around WDW are uncrustables.

Its not so much as the restaurant would be willing as much as it would be available to do. Not all restaurants have peanut butter in their pantry if it isn't something that they usually use. Im sure you will be able to find something at the restaurants that your daughter will enjoy

I also have a picky eater, who likes Peanut Butter ony (no jelly) and buttered pasta. (she also likes chicken nuggets, sometimes, but you never know if she is in the mood). The only place we found buttered pasta was at Yachtsman, but that was the only signature that we took her too.

I'm pretty sure my DS had a Peanut Butter sandwich at Jiko. He likes jelly, just not with peanut butter! I guess he qualifies for the picky eaters club too!

Most places will be able to serve her plain pasta. I don't have a kid, but I have a sister who eats vegan or vegetarian and we had no trouble asking for modifications to her meal. If they can serve her chicken-less "chicken pasta", they can get sauce-less pasta for a kid :)

The plain peanut butter sandwich will be harder, maybe impossible though. I've always thought that they served those Uncrustable things in order to prevent cross-contamination for people with peanut allergies.

We've eaten quite a few kids meals in Disney and you always have a fruit & veggie option (usually it's grapes or carrot sticks).

At worse maybe you can feed your DD dinner somewhere else if you want to have a nice meal or two, and let her just get dessert at the restaurant?

Pasta with butter should be no issue at all. At your resort food court there may be the small packets of peanut butter. I'd snag one of those and bring it with you and ask for some bread. Might work:confused3 On Mousesavers I found this:

Sometimes my readers' cleverness just astounds me. Consider this discovery by MouseSavers.com reader Lisa C: "In the resort food courts... you can buy two slices of bread (white or wheat) for $.69 plus tax." Peanut butter is about .50, and in some food courts it's free because there are packets of it with the condiments. Jelly can be obtained for free because it's a condiment. So for around a dollar or less, you can make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Lisa notes, "We have a five-year-old, so this was a godsend and really saved us money over having to buy combo meals all the time."

If a place has the ingredients, then they will probably be happy to make it. So pasta and butter should be fairly easy to come across. But the sandwiches, most likely won't be anywhere. They restaurants can only make what they have.

Look at the menus and see what sort of things they offer - then you can assess the ingredients each restaurant stocks and see what places would be able to accommodate your child.

You can also buy a loaf of bread in just about any resort gift shop. I bring a small jar of peanut butter with me in my checked luggage. I'm an early bird and often wake up way earlier than the food court opens so I like to have the option of having a peanut butter sandwich to tide me over.

I bought a loaf of bread in the food court and brought pb with us. At our local store, they even sell it in tubes like toothpaste. I would also bring a small plastic container to reduce squishing in your bag.

Rice should be ok to do for her aswell.

Some places offer rice with the kids meals like teppan edo. Think grand floridian cafe and coral reef do aswell.
