Hello

We are going to Orlando and staying at Hilton Grand Vacation Club - Sea World and doing the SW and Aquatica multi-day pass. The parks are only open until 7pm while we are there so I was looking for some good ideas for dinner while we are there. I will have a car and it is just me and my 7yo dd.

Any suggestions?

Thanks :thumbsup2

If your looking for a nice place to eat for dinner, more of a sit down restaurant type of place, then I would suggest doing Sharks under water grill or the Luau Dinner show. I think the Luau dinner show is a great experience. Its about 2 hours long and lasts through park close. It ends about 8:00. Ive heard good things about sharks under water grill, although Ive never eaten there. If your looking for just a regular place to eat, more of a cafeteria style place, then I would suggest "Mango Joes." Its located next to Shamu stadium and serves fresh fruits/salads. Grilled steak and chicken sandwiches, desserts and more. Its my favorite cafeteria style place to eat in the park. Here is some info on all of the places to eat at Seaworld....

Thanks for the suggestions - I guess I was looking for ideas OUTSIDE the parks... However, I do plan on going to Shark underwater Grill one night. Do you have to be done by 7pm if that is when the park closes? Seems a little early for dinner.

Anyone else??

There is a KFC and a Wendy's right by the park. There is also a sit down place like TGI Fridays (I forget which one it is) near the CVS on International Drive and Central Florida. Benihana is up International drive. And you are not far from DTD.

We stayed at Marriott's Grande Vista last March (right near where you're staying) and we ate at the Outback Steakhouse right nearby - it was surprisingly really great food and very well priced! I definitely would go back there again (we're going to Harbour Lake this coming March and plan on it!).

Also, in December, we went to a Cracker Barrell for a huge lunch - I had never been to one. Beware - they give you way too much food! It was good food, nice service, and so cheap. They also have a cute gift shop with tons of candy and things - very country style (not my style really but cute). I don't recall where it was, but it was right by a Super Target that we were going to afterwards to stock up our Disney condo after checking out of Harbour Lake.

I recall a sushi place we did take out from right near Seaworld - it was awful. I think it was called Oishi. We know good Asian food (DH is Korean) and that one avoid.

I'd stick with major chains in the area and you'll do fine. Definitely the Outback was good - and I'm not a big steak eater!

There are lots of places on I-drive; which is near SW.

I know they are building a Dave and Busters on I-Drive; not sure when it's set to open though.

There's also places like Bahama Breeze; as well as lots of places at Pointe Orlando (which also has a movie theater there, if you are concerned with having nothing to do at night). All of these places are just past the convention center on I-Drive; near SW.

Just go up and down International Drive as there are no shortages of places to eat, also turn west on Sand lake Rd from International Drive and go under the I-4 overpass and you will come to what is referred to as Restaurant Row.

Is Dave N Busters appropriate for families with grade school aged kids? 8 and 11 years old. Thanks!

Yes, we see kids of all ages at ours. I suggest not going too late, as they do serve alcohol, and the late at night crowd seems more adult. My kids love all the games. Not a cheap place though.

Thanks! Anyone know whether The Outta Control Magic Comedy Dinner Show at WonderWorks is for families or adults?

Very family friendly. There's a nice mix of (clean) humour, captivating magic tricks, and cheesy songs coupled with a whole lot of audience participation. And the food appeals to all ages, kids especially.....all you can eat popcorn, pizza (cheese-only and cheese-and-pepperoni), salad, cake for dessert, and all your beverages (including beer and wine for the adults).

Definitely recommend :thumbsup2 .

TGI Fridays and Buffalo Wild Wings is right around the corner by the two hotels, Springhill and Fairfield. There are other smaller things I. The area but these are the closest. We've eaten at both the above restaurants and enjoyed them.
