Placeholder for Alaska?

We would like to place our onboard placeholder for Alaska fo the next year, will this fall under one of those cruises we CAN do this with? I heard that some cruises were exempt from the discounts and other perks for booking onboard.

The blackouts are based on dates, not types of cruises. They mainly include Christmas, New Years and Easter periods. They might blackout the cruise that sails on the 4th of July for example, but I never read that they did in the past.
