placeholder converting to cruise booking question

On our recent Disney Dream cruise I booked a placeholder for two rooms.

For room one we listed my sister and myself [we were on the Dream cruise].

For room two we listed my mother [she did not sail with us].

We are looking at booking a May 2021 Alaska cruise when booking opens hopefully next week and plan to use the placeholder for it.

My question:

We have decided we will just put us in one stateroom (deluxe family oceanview with verandah stateroom) instead of two.

If I put all three of us into the one room, using the placeholder, are we all eligible for the placeholder benefits (ie room discount, reduced deposit) ?

Yes, the on-board booking benefits apply to everyone on the reservation - whether you add them at the time of the placeholder or later. The benefits are attached to the reservation. One of the adults on the original reservation has to sail. You can change add/subtract other names later.

If you do add your mother to the first room, the second placeholder room can no longer be used unless you put your mother back on it and out of the first. An individual can be on just one reservation on a sailing. That extra deposit can be transferred to the first booking or refunded.

Thank you. And yes, I plan to use the deposit of the second placeholder room and just have them apply it toward the cost of the first/only room.
