Place to wait while waiting for 1st fantasmic to end?

Hi,

We are hoping to get a good spot for the 2nd showing of Fantasmic in August. I was thinking we could ride Pirates, get off around 9:00 and then find a half decent spot to wait where we could also see the fireworks. (I realize this is not an ideal location to view the fireworks from, but that is not our priority) and then grab a good spot for the 2nd showing of Fantasmic by walking in behind the mob as they leave the Rivers of America. Any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated.

In the past, our family has watched the fireworks from the Main Street Station train depot and then hopped the train to NOS (first stop) to grab a spot for the second showing of F! We have also waited from right in front of the HM (there are benches) for the first seating of F! to clear out, but the view of the fireworks wouldn't be ideal from that vantage point.

Not sure if the timing is still the same with the shows so that it will work out for you, but that is what we've done.

If you can't get to the area by the HM or Spash like suggested above. A decent back up plan is by big thunder mountain.

After the first F! crowd goes out, it will leave behind it a big vacuum, so you can work your way around them as they pour towards the Hub.

Good question to post! I've been thinking about the same thing. I like the train station depot idea.

The closer you can get to critter country the better. Remember there's only one way to go from there. Pirates is good, you can probably do HM very quickly too... hint hint...

We found that you can ride Splash over and over during Fantasmic with pretty much no wait, and then it's a pretty easy jaunt over to get a spot after the first crowd clears out. There's a lot of one way/no stopping pathways, and it's pretty easy to find yourself in a stream of people going the opposite way you want to go with no way to get back.

Critter country, or as a second choice, over by the Mark Twain dock where they have a rope blocking the crowds until fireworks are over.
