Place to sleep, door that locks, no rats please.............

We have been invited to join friends at Saratoga Springs 2 bedroom villa --the only downfall (as if there is one) is that it is the week of April 1st. Holy cow the prices!!!!! We are planning on driving to cut costs some, but we need to stay somewhere the night before we check in. I thought I would just go to a value as we always stay on property, but I just cannot pay $120 for 12 hrs at a value. We have stayed a value and have no prob, but that is a steep premium. We need a place to sleep with a bed, with a door that locks, no rats, few bugs, and in relatively close proximity to WDW-1hr or less. We will be there literally like 12 hrs. If it were not for having a child we would just sleep in the car. Here are some "cheap" examples of what I am finding and I would love any help or imput. I am guessing I need to get this booked soon as it seems to be a very busy time of year.

avoid the Howard Johnson - even some people who loved it last year - didn't say nice things on their return.

I don't know about the Day inn - they use to be pretty bad - but someone say in 2004? they had a rehab. don't know for sure.

Best Western Lakeside - it was a LaQuinta and before then a Sheraton.
