PL Express Deal, room requests, and more! AKV Jambo

We booked a Deluxe Studio Standard View at AKV Jambo through PL Express deals for Sept 7-14. Our FP day is coming up, so I'm getting back into planning mode!

Would you make any room requests for this type of room? Is there a point? We don't really care where we're located as far as elevators or the lobby, but DH is worried we'll end up with a parking lot view.

Does the fact that we booked through PL change anything? DH thinks since we booked through PL, that we'll get the worst rooms available.

Are the DVC rooms at Jambo being refurbished, or just the regular hotel rooms? I haven't been able to figure that out.

What kind of coffee maker is in the room? I've seen videos with a keurig and a regular coffee machine. Mama's gotta have her coffee!

If we end up driving instead of flying, will we have to pay to park since its a DVC room? I'm pretty sure we do, but was told by somebody IRL we don't even though its a cash reservation. Also, what about the laundry? Will we have access to that?

Being a guest that booked thru Priceline will not affect your room location.

DVC rooms tend to be on a longer refurb schedule than hotel rooms. IIRC, it’s been a while since AKV-Jambo had a full rehab. ETA: There was a soft goods refurbishment in 2016

You will get either a 4- or 8-cup drip coffeemaker. You will get fresh coffee replacements each day with housekeeping because you are a cash guest.

You are not staying as a DVC guest even though you are in a Vacation Club villa. You will pay for parking each night.

Villas laundry access is a DVC member benefit reserved for members and their guests staying on points. Hotel guests use, and pay for, the hotel laundry facilities.

Standard Studios are all either pool view or partial savannah view. It depends on what is important to you as far as a request.

Either of those would be fine with me! Somebody else told me some standard view dvc studios had parking lot views, which I was trying to avoid.

No, I am a long time DVC owner at Animal Kingdom Villas. There are not any Studios at Jambo that overlook a parking lot. At Kidani, yes, but not Jambo.
