PJ & TR: Claire & Mike - WP/KWR/SCP - 30 Dec 09 - **Inside Disney Weddings Podcast**

It's too bad the plan with the Grand didn't work, but your new plan looks good! I think you will appreciate the break!

I'm sorry to hear about the Grand 1 not working out. I didn't realize you had to book it for a minimum of 2 hours. Perhaps it's because it's the holidays?

The extended reception sounds nice though. It will give you time to relax and mingle with your guests more.

I think it is because of the holidays, that is what my planner thought anyway.

Yes it'll be good to have an hour to ourselves.

:woohoo: Just booked Palo Dinner for Night 3 and Palo Brunch for Day 4 of our cruise :yay:

 yay!

Wow, it all seems to be getting so close now!!

I tell you what though, if you don't check the boards every day, it takes forever to catch up on all my subbed PJ's!! :rotfl:

Just spoken to lovely Kathleen, we are going to extend the cake/champagne reception that you get with an Escape package for an extra hour and maybe have a few nibbles to eat, she is sending me a menu now. If we want the violinist to stay its an extra $175 so not sure about that.

Oooh I didnt know you could do that - thats a really good idea :goodvibes

I'm really sorry you weren't able to book the grand 1 Claire. Does it always have a 2 hour minimum? I hadn't heard that before:confused: It sounds great though that they let you extend the reception and add in veggies... I think your guests will really enjoy that:thumbsup2 All your ADR's sound great!

Yay for the ADRs you booked. :cool1: so exciting when you have surprises for them!!!

That's great about extending the cake reception!!! I would definitely want to do that if I was having a later ceremony! The violin price doesn't seem to bad, although I'm not sure if it is really necessary.

Sounds like a fab idea with the cake reception! Nice one for booking the driving experience too. I've been trying to think of something to do for Tim as a surprise but not sure the funds will stretch to it.

He'll have to make do with me :rotfl:

That's such a shame that you weren't able to get the Grand I, but I think the extended cake reception is a great alternative.

Your ADR's sound great and I think your DF will love his surprise!

I think it was just because its the holidays.

I'm really looking forward to all the food!

Your right its not really necessary which is why we thought it best to save the money.

I luckily was able to do a bit of overtime which paid for half of it.

It would have been great to have the Grand 1 but it'll be less rushed now so i'm happy.

I tried to ring the venue of our at home reception the other day. I couldn't get through so I sent them an e-mail. I have had no response to this. I've just found out that instead of replying they have rung my FMIL! The party is where they live not us and they are paying for most of it so their address and phone number are listed but they know its our party. They weren't even complicated questions I was asking. My FMIL said to them why can't you just reply to the e-mail and they said they thought it better to discuss it over the phone to which FMIL replied but I don't know what Claire has asked you. Anyway we are going over there in a couple of weeks so they've arranged a meeting but that still doesn't answer my question which I need to know now so I am going to e-mail them again on Monday.

I've e-mailed some companies about providing balloons for our at home reception and none of them have replied either.

Also this week the Comedy Club that we were booked into on my Hen party to eat at as well has gone bust! Alternate arangements are in the process of being made and I'm supposed to be getting the deposit back which was only little anyway.

I'm sorry you're having a rough week hun. I can't believe they couldn't just email you back... seems wierd. I mean you're the bride!

I know i didn't tell mine either... but no worries... i think we'll be alright. We'll just be extra careful to let him know what we like and i'm sure he'll deliver those amazing randy shots we have seen. :)

   For the Rough week Hun!! Why on earth would your at home venue contact your FMIL instead of you?! I don't understand that!! Especially when shes told them she doesn't know what you're asking about!
