PJ & TR: Claire & Mike - WP/KWR/SCP - 30 Dec 09 - **Inside Disney Weddings Podcast**

omggggooosh i love it! you have a bunch of roses on your left hip of the dress - i have some on mine tooo!!

your face in those photos - you look sooo happy! its so good how a dress makes you feel when you know its the right one- and your expression just says it all!

YAAAAY for you! :cool1:

I remember the flowers on your dress, I think they are a nice touch.

Oh Claire it's just lovely! You look so gorgeous in it! I love the necklace with it as well! :lovestruc

I'm really pleased with how the necklace looks.

beautiful dress Claire!! I love the lace up back!!

I had the lace up back added, it was a zip up on the one I tried on.

I'm just BURSTING to see it now, but my work pc won't display most photos posted on here for some reason - so now I have to wait til I get home!!!

AAHHHH!

Mine does the same thing its so frustrating!! Some sort of DIS photo blocker?!!

I LOVE the dress Claire, and the colour - it looks lovely with your skintone!

That's why I went for the colour.

Its by Phil Collins and was a very reasonable price.

I am thinking of changing the plan of my day, how does this sound? Will the timings work?

1430>1600 - Ceremony, cake cutting & photos

1630>1730 - Pre-reception/Cocktail Hour on the Grand1

1800>2030 - Chefs Domain at Citricos

2100>2200 - Epcot DP

I saw the dress photos last night, it's so pretty, all the detail and the colour looks really good too, I never would have guessed it right though!

I love love LOVE :lovestruc your new day plan, chartering the Grand 1 for an hour for the cocktail hour is a fabulous idea!! I need more money now so we can do this! :rotfl: Seriously though, you'll have to let me know how much this costs and any food costs etc, this would be THE most awesome surprise if I can keep my mouth shut! I'm not sure I could save enough myself to do it though....

Your timeline - I think the DP has to start at 8.30pm with IllumiNations at 9, but 2 hours should be plenty for dinner I would think....

Glad you like the colour after keeping you in suspence!

The Grand1 is $480 for 1 hour can't find the private dining prices at the mo.

Last year on Dec 30th Illuminations was at 2130.

Aaaaah I forgot you're there over the holiday period!!

Just had this from Disney :sad1:

We have just been informed by Epcot that we will not be able to book any Dessert Parties from December 20, 2009 to January 1, 2009.

So back to the drawing board.

OH Claire! How crappy! So sorry!

if you are going to be doing Chefs Domaine....maybe you could do a Wishes DP at Sago Cay Pointe??

I wonder why that is?

But yeah, you could look at a Wishes DP, or Fantasmic, or hire the Grand 1 after your meal rather than before. I know it's not what you initially had in mind but....

I do remember that from when we were planning our November wedding. Due to the holidays and Disney and Epcot being so crowded there are no private bookings during that time. I think a private Wishes party would be wonderful.

I've decided it's fate! I think I picked a Epcot DP for the wrong reasons. We are now going to try for a Wishes DP which I'm really excited about so the new plan is:

1430>1600 Ceremony, cake & photos

1630>1730 Grand1

1800>2000 Chefs Domain

2000>2100 Wishes DP

We have also decided not to have the MK photo shoot anymore so this saving will pay for the DP.

Awww Claire I'm sorry but a wishes dessert party would be excellent - I truely believe in fate - whats meant to be is meant to be :goodvibes

I just found your PJ! I love your dress!

Sorry the original plan didn't work out, but the Wishes DP will be beautiful and will keep everything close to the Grand. It makes it more relaxing with fewer deadlines!

Agree!! The Wishes DP fits more with being at the GF all day. And I think it's a more private cozy atmosphere too!! :cool1:

I think so, just hope we can get it now as everyone on that day might be trying to get it if no Epcot DPs are available :scared1:

Thanks for reading along. I keep changing my mind. I do like the idea of more relaxing and less deadlines.

Well I am now thinking of moving my ceremony from Sunset Point to the Wedding Pavillion to have everything there.

I also want to add a coach but DF isn't convinced on the cost.

At the weekend we looked at locations for our at home reception. We have picked The Chichester Hotel. It'll be about 75 people for a buffet and disco, nothing fancy as we want to keep the cost down, luckily DFs parents have offered to pay for most of it.

I now really want the Wedding Pavillion and Cinderellas Carriage but DF says it is too expensive :sad1:
