It's stormy day here. I can hear the thunder in the background so I'm hoping it doesn't get too bad..because track season starts for DD today..and DS has soccer practice!!!

I mailed the paper bix today. Since it is only going a couple of hours across the state I think it should make it by tomorrow.

Are most of you using priority mail and what is it costing to mail the boxes? Just curious

It came to me in a flat rate priority box with the sides bent out a little. When I went to pack it up in a new one I divided the paper and put 8 1/2 by 11 on the bottom then I put in some sturdy 12 by 12 cardboard followed by half the 12 by 12 paper, then I put in another cardboard section and then the rest of the 12 by 12 paper. (I made sure it was all going in a direction that meant if there was an edge on it around the 12 by 12 it would be lengthwise in the box. At the top I placed another carboard spacer and thenthe papers that were smaller than 8 1/2 by 11. I had squeezed the box out a little before I put it in and it looked like the paper was holding up just fine. Everything is inside of a large archivers bag that came to me with the box.

I originally shipped it flat rate. the paper would have cost a fortune if it were shipped otherwise.

I think the box was 10 pounds and 12 ounces. My postal lady said I had made a good choice going with flat rate because it would have been an arm and a leg otherwise. Mine wasn;'t even going far just across the state.
