Pixiesprite's little 3x4" journal cards ***closed for requests***

There is something marvellous about a tent made of blankets & waterproof sheets in the garden on a rainy day - I managed to steal quite a bit of DISigning time while the kids had many fun camping themed adventures!

Here's the haul....

sirvin12, I finally convinced Francis to work with me - hope you like the result! That's your current request completed, etc. etc. ;)

A nice pinterest user asked about making the Lego cards with rounded corners. I don't normally take requests on pinterest (too many sources of requests would confuse me!) - I usually direct people here but since I still had the file in my recent documents it was a straightforward alteration :) Plus the pinterest user comments on my cards on pinterest and I do love people who comment on my work :lovestruc

Some of you might like these cards too...

Lego - Base Board - Base Plate - rounded corners - grey - green - blue - red - yellow -

** please do note that I usually prefer not to remake cards with different borders as I specifically choose the style of border when making the cards - however cards like these are the exception to that - they are all about the background so the border is easy to change without traumatising me :rotfl2:** Also, I do delete old psd files to clear up space so this type of simple conversion on an old card becomes a big "make a new card from scratch" experience. But again, these were recent, straightforward cards so everything was good here!! I'm just mentioning this here in case this has tempted anyone into thinking "ooooh I know what cards I'd like redone with roundy edges" popcorn:: Keep on walking by.... :rotfl:

**** Of course - feel free to request whatever type of border you prefer when making new requests - that's no trouble at all! :thumbsup2 ****

Thanks everyone :goodvibes:goodvibes I'm happy that you're all happy ::yes::

mockmom3 - I've added two of your cards to my pile, and here is a link to Fife & Drum - the lovely tiggergalttfn made cards for that and Voices of Liberty on the old thread http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=48953382&postcount=167 :) You can add in something else to your requests to replace that if you like! It'll probably be next early week before you see these cards :)

How about we add MO'ROCKIN to the list?

Hi Pixie. Just wanted to let you know I came by. Things have been interesting to say the least. We have a trip planned so I want to browse your photo bucket to see what new goodies you have created that I can use. Is everything in the same folder? I want to make sure I don't miss anything. It looks like you have been VERY busy! So happy you kept the 3x4 card thing going! Hugs, Roni

Wow Iloveeliot, it's fab to see you here... it's been such a long time

I hope you are well :) When is your trip?

My photobucket is waaay too full to browse now, there's well over 1000 cards there. But I have been maintaining an index at the start of this thread (first page - posts #2 & 3) - you'll find everything listed there. I copied all my cards here when I set up my little thread to keep all my stuff in one spot. And for old times sake the 1st post has a link to our original completed cards thread's index.

Browse away with a cuppa, have fun! :goodvibes

I love them usual. Up to 364 now! Good thing I'm planning on making a digital scrapbook and having it printed as a bound book, otherwise my poor printer wouldn't make it!

They are wonderful as always!!!

And unless you want to take on the challenge of the WDW Planning DVD Movie Night (I'm sure I can find one that works in the countless wonderful wdw cards you have already done)

The only movie night cards I have left are non disney

Gracefulskinny, I've added your cards to my list, should be a few days (I'm on a go-slow coz it's the weekend!). I don't have any card yet for the planning DVD , have a think about what you want for it and we can add it to your next request :cool1:

mockmom3, I was sitting here today drinking my tea and randomly thinking of London and then this DISign suddenly popped into my head for your British Revolution card. It's based on the London Underground station signs and the station maps on the trains. Enjoy! Plus a "Keep Calm" card for you too as I do love Keep Calm signs.

- British Revolution - United Kingdom - EPCOT - Keep Calm and Rock On! - filler card - 3x4 -

I like that London Underground sign - I wonder what other cards would be fun to make with it? Hmmmm.... anyone have any ideas?!

Also there are a lot of Keep Calm filler cards on this thread (search the index for "calm" to find them all), but if anyone thinks of any other ones then please do shout out!

If anyone hasn't seen this little video yet of the origin of the "Keep Calm and Carry On" posters it is very interesting... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrHkKXFRbCI

Francis was worth the wait!!!!! I have some more, shocking I know!

Hanging at the Cozy Cone, 3x4 filler card please!

I would love to have a filler card for gymnastic and taekwando (a girly version) 3x4. If you don't feel like these inspire you, no worries!

Thank you so much!

poosiegirl, with so many destinations and boarding spots for all the different boats in WDW I decided to do a general "Taking the Boat" card with spots to fill in the "to & from" locations, hope you like it :thumbsup2

That's your current request completed etc. etc. :goodvibes

- WDW - Taking the Boat -

also, while I was browsing I found this splendid subway style map on WDW Focus ... http://www.wdwfocus.com/map/ It inspired me to alter the London Underground style card I made yesterday and make a fun "Disney Transportation" card for you all...

- Disney Transportation - London Underground style - subway - 3x4 -

...and something about traveling by boat - you know how they have all those small boats to take you to and from the Magic Kingdom? ...

sirvin12, I've added your Cozy Cone & gynmastics to my list. gymnastic... Do you say "gymnastic" or "gymnastics"? We say "gymnastics" here - let me know which you want on the card?

Your taekwondo card is ready, lol.... I was doing a wikipedia search and I found this beautiful calligraphy of Taekwondo in Korean - et voila... it became your filler card... hope you like it!

sirvin12, can you give me a pile of words about gymnastics - like say about 15 words pretty please? Thank you kindly! Any kinds of words like equipment they use, or stances or abilities etc.

Pixieprite - I love the boat and transportation cards! They're perfect and I think we used every form of transportation Disney had too. The Minnie and Daisy cards are fantastic, so fantastic that can I ask for matching Donald and Goofy cards? Plus one more for either Innoventions or the Great Piggy Bank Adventure, whichever is easier.

Thank you!

poosiegirl, added to my list :thumbsup2 I'll take the Piggybank one as part of this request and we can keep Innoventions for the next batch :)

misse336, here are your FOF and Move it! cards... enjoy!

The colours and decorative bits on the Move it! card are inspired by the general look of the party floats.

The FOF cards - I made 2 versions of these for you... I simply had to use some of the gorgeous costume artwork they released before the parade started - I love those Raven costumes. I cannot wait to see this parade in October, it just looks amazing!! And the dragon, my goodness! I didn't do a journal card for him as I'm guessing most people will have heaps of photos of him so the fantastic costume cards will compliment the dragon photos rather than repeat them :) Having said that... if you'd like a dragon card too you have only to ask :goodvibes

- Festival of Fantasy Parade - Circus Dancer - Raven Dancer - Magic Kingdom - Move it! Shake it! Celebrate it! Street Party -

Gracefulskinny, here are your Madeline cards, hope you like them! I opted for a classic book-based logo because it'll work for all gazillion versions of the Madeline books and movies and whatnot :) And I added an Eiffel Tower of course!

Hello Pixiesprite!
I've scanned through all 43 pages and I'm bummed because I was so hoping someone else had read my mind and requested the style of autograph cards I'm looking for! I feel bad that I'm about to open a can of worms and create a bunch more work for you (if you accept my challenge...) I'm new to PL style scrapbooking, but I'm really looking forward to doing my upcoming trip this way. I'm hoping to have 3x4 or 4x3 cards to use for character autographs in the parks, but I'm envisioning cards that are "inspired" by the characters or movies, but don't have the actual persons name or picture on it... since they are going to be signing it and I'll have pictures of my kids/family with the character in the layout, it seems a bit redundant... :confused3 So, without further ado, here's the first 3 requests...

1 - Mickey Mouse
2 - Pluto
3 - Minnie Mouse

I'm cool with 3x4 or 4x3, square or rounded...whatever is easiest for you for each. Don't worry about the journaling line option either, unless you do that by default :)

And, do you have any suggestions for printing them? My home printer is not ideal for this sort of thing and I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about getting these (and other PL cards I've found online) printed easily and economically...

THANK YOU!!!

Thanks Gracefulskinny :goodvibes

SarahSlink, welcome to my thread! Hope you enjoy your stay :)

I like your idea! I'd be happy to make the cards for you. I'm thinking we'll keep the journalling section white as that way the autographs will stand out clearly and also if you ever want to scan them in to use they'll be easier to scan on a white background. What do you think?

So... if we go with that each card would have white space, coloured border (of various shapes/designs depending on the card) and then the "character inspired" background.

A few points before we start... any "inspired by" cards are a lot more work than regular clipart cards and the results can sometimes go in random directions. I get the character, mull it over for a while then make the card, then I dump the character out of my head. I really don't like to revisit an "inspired by" character for a redo as I rarely get a second different inspiration :rotfl2: So basically, the first try is the only try!

With that in mind, please do let me know if there is anything you really don;t want for a particular character like "Cinderella - no slipper" or something like that. I imagine the backgrounds will either be block colours inspired by the clothing of the characters or perhaps repeating motifs - like teacups/hats for the Mad Hatter, that type of thing.

Do let me know if you're happy with all of that! In terms of your curent request, I have added Mickey and Pluto to my list - it should be a few days.

Minnie - I have this card already in my collection and I think it will work nicely for her -

It pretty much highlights what all the cards will look like - white centre, border, character background. Let me know if that card will work for you and because it exists already you can replace your Minnie request with a different character :cool1:

Size-wise I usually do 3x4 orientation but feel free to request specific cards as 4x3 if you'd like a variation - some will work as both like the above Minnie card :)
