We will be at DL Sunday-Tuesday and want to check out Pixie Hollow, are there better times to do this? Maybe more fairies or less wait time? Any advice or secrets to share? Also what about the princess meet and greet what is the best time to do this? TIA

We found with both of them to get there right when they open or a bit before. On our last day we went to PFF right at opening of the park and waited an hour for the PFF to open. It was worth it though because we were first in line and Ariel walked my DD's back. Totally made there day. A nice cast member told us that to meet Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, or Cinderella you have to go to the coronation ceremony then wait around after the show and the princesses come back out to sign autographs. That was wonderful too. dd1 got about ten minutes of alone time with Sleeping Beauty - she was on cloud nine. :cloud9:

Pixie hollows about the same, get there early expect to wait and then get shuffled from fairy to Tink. I don't really have many secrets about Pixie Hollow. We hit it at a bad time, only Tink was there and she kept dropping character between kids. Luckily DD didn't notice or I would have complained. I have done the job before and know it can be tough, so I guess I am very forgiving

Good luck!

Thank you! Can you tell me how many princesses/ fairies will be there at a time?

You might try going first thing on your non-MM day (Monday). We were at rope drop on a Wednesday with the adjusted hours (9AM to 10 PM) a few weeks ago and beelined to Pixie Hollow. Were first in line to meet Tink and Fawn, made it to PFF by 9:10, and only had to wait for one family in front of us. Met Belle, Ariel, and Tiana and were out of there by 9:20 or so.

The cast member at the front of the line for PFF told us that Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Snow White are never in the actual meet and greet area. You can only meet then through coronation. But I have heard a few people say that they have met them through the meet and greet area so who knows. Tiana, Ariel, Belle, Princess Minnie, Pocohantus, Mulan and I think one more shuffle through the Meet and greet but its usually only Ariel, Belle, and Tiana from what I can tell. (We have been to PFF a lot, but only have made it to tink once)

As for the fairies. We got Rosetta at the first stop and then Vidia and Tink at Tinks spot. But I know that at the first spot, if your lucky, they have more, some different, or all of the sidekicks.

Let us know how it goes!

What is "PFF" and when and where is the Coronation Ceremony?

"PFF" is the Princess Fantasy Faire.

The Coronation Ceremony occurs in the kind of stage area behind the walk of princesses. You don't have to wait in line to see it and there are some bleachers. I think the times are listed in the park guides.

If the times are listed in the park guides, then the location is probably also listed on the map...but in case not, where is the "walk of princess"?

PFF is back by the Towntown exit of the DLRR (Disneyland Rail Road). If you go back towards Toontown, just before you get to the arch you would go left and up a hill for DLRR and PFF.

Back in the Fantasy Faire area, near It's a Small World and Toontown. If you head toward Toontown, it's on your left under the big tent. The "line" leads to what I think they at least once called the "walk of fame," which is the place where you meet the princesses.

There's also a gift shop area to the right of the line, and the aforementioned stage behind the area where you met the princesses.

If this is what happens now things have changed a lot since last November.

Sleeping Beauty was there every time I went through PFF Meet and Greet, and Cinderella 3 out of 5 times. Sleeping Beauty was there twice. :confused3

And thats what I had heard so we went to PFF 3 times JUST to see Sleeping Beauty. We were lucky that the cast member told us about the Coronotaion on our last day or else we would have missed them, and that would have destroyed my dd1's trip.

It would be interesting to know if thats an every day thing, or just the rules of the day we were there.

I think this is not always true. When we went in May, they weren't doing the coronation ceremony and we met Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella at the PFF (mid-afternoon, wait wast 70 minutes, if I remember correctly. When we went in August, We were there about 5 minutes before they opened one morning and saw them come out and walk the little girl at the front of the line in. We waited an additional 20 minutes after that. We met Belle, Ariel and Tiana.

So, maybe the only meeting them after the Coronation Ceremony thing is accurate, but only on days when it occurs. Otherwise, they might be in the regular rotation.

We've only met Tink once. Mid-afternoon in May. Wait was 45 minutes and we met Vidia and Tink.

I was there this past Friday and waited in line at PH for about 60 minutes, and it was extremely hot (couldn't be helped anyway :headache:) the only fairies I saw at the time were Rosetta and Tinkerbell, but I was also told that it was off-season so there might not be as many there (you can always return in the evening and see if any diffeent fairies are there). You definitely will want to have an umbrella and some waterbottles for yourself and any young ones you might have and try to make Pixie Hollow one of the first stops on your schedule (i.e. go as early as you can to beat the sun) The pics turned put super great so it was worth the wait :woohoo:
