Pixie Hollow Set To Open Tomorrow!

Okay I need to pick a day next week to go to Disney to see Tink well so my DD can see Tink - my evenings are so full though that it might be a Saturday I end up going before DD turns 3.

This is so exciting! I hope they're still there when we go back next September. I'm afraid to even tell DD7 that Tink is there, b/c I don't want to have to deal with the disappointment if it ends before we go.

It will not end before September. Fairies, like Princesses, will be at Toontown for the foreseeable future. They are the next big "franchise", with several Tinker Bell movies in the pipeline for the next five years or so.

:earsboy:

I can't wait to see this. Tinkerbell is one of my favorite characters and I know when my granddaughter sees her she will flip.

We arrive on the 26th and I can't wait to see it! What time is the rope drop at toontown???

Toontown opens one hour after official Park opening, which most of the time is 9:00,so Toontown opens at 10:00,except during Peak seasons when Magic Kingdom opens at 8:00,Toontown will open at 9:00.During my last trip in July,I arrived via the WDW Railroad to Toontown at 9:50 excitedly anticipating the Toontown Rope Drop at 10:00.Toontown was already OPEN!:) I learned they were opening Toontown at 9:45 UNANNOUNCED and that schedule may or may not be in effect now and in the future,so my advise to everyone is to be at Toontown by 9:40 just in case.:)

Cool!!! I'll still wait a while to tell her, if I can, just b/c I'm not sure I want to hear "I can't wait to go back to Disneyworld so I can meet Tinkerbell!" for the next 11 months :goodvibes

When MAgic Kingdom opens-- is the train working as soon as the park opens? How long does it take to get back there?

I am so excited to see this. I have a tink lover who was very disapointed to know she would not get to "meet" tink on our Dec. visit. She will just flip.
Does anyone know if the lines will be for each fairy or is it as a group?

I think its as a group but with only 3 of the 5 Fairies at a time (with Tink always in the room). You will enter similar as you do for the princesses!!

:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: We were supposed to go today, but alas, here I sit in MCO waiting for my flight home... both kids got very sick and with the rain, a final MK visit on out final day was not to happen. Guess I'll just wait for the pics on here....

The Train will begin operating at Park Opening, but it may be five minutes or so before the first Train comes to the Main Street Station.I have never timed it,but my guess is about 10-15 minutes from the Main Street Station, including the stop at the Frontierland Station, and about 7-8 minutes if you board in Frontierland.:)

It was not open today. I was told by a character attendant that it probably won't be open until the 28th.

VERY VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Pixie Hollow does not officially open until Sunday. Any time before that is considered "soft opening."

What this means is that PIXIE HOLLOW WILL NOT NECESSARILY BE OPEN FOR THE FULL OPERATING HOURS OF TOONTOWN.

The area is still in the "test and adjust" phase, and they are training both character hosts and photopass photographers. The area may be open for a few hours; it may not open until late in the day; it may be open for one cycle of meet & greets only; it may open for an hour and then close for the rest of the day ... there are MANY variations. Please remember this if you head over to Toontown between now and Sunday. Pixie Hollow will not be in full operation until October 26.

(Just trying to manage expectations ...)

There seem to have been a misinformation on the media, I believe, and they all announced that it was going to open today. However this is not correct and and as he explained they are trying to be ready for the 26. However not even that is set in stone, again they are aiming for it but nothing is official. The official day is the 28th when the movie comes out, so nothing is set until probably then, I imagine. The park was full today of screaming Tinkerbell fans, that got very upset when told she wasn't going to be there today. Anything that they may have been doing is soft opening and with very, very, very few people, because as I said it's not completely done. Have a little patience with them they are working hard to get this started.

I am glad that I found this thread. The DW and I are very curious about the Tink meet and great and how it will work. We are looking forward to seeing pics. So now at toontown you can meet Mickey, the Princesses and now Tink.

So where does the rest of the Mickey gang meet and great now? I have read Goofy in Frontierland and have seen Chip N Dale at the front of the park. Where is Minnie, Donald, and Daisy?

:thumbsup2

Minnie is with Mickey in the Judge's tent. Donald is in Frontierland in a Davy Crockett-looking outfit. Daisy is on Main Street. I saw her last weekend near the Barber Shop, kind of in the middle of the Emporium and the firehouse.

It's really a sad scene. Since they got evicted, they have been seen roaming around the streets, charging quarters for autographs, sleeping in Dumbo topiaries. They've been sneaking into Cosmic Ray's after hours to wash up in the restrooms. All because they are too big to fit in Pixie Hollow. Once again, discrimination plagues the World.

Very cool. It'll be good to see the characters in the parks in different attire. And waiting to get a pic with Mickey and Minnie together in the Judges tent is worth it. It will be great to be able to get a pic of them together on a regular basis :thumbsup2
