Did anyone hear that they aren't building the planned pixie hllow portion of Fantasyland forest, it either because it would be expensive after the construction of the rest of the expansion or they realised the Farires franchise won't be around as long as the princesses, so what could possibly go into that empty plot of land near the dumbo area?

How about another princess, Snow White is absent from the expansion, so why not put the dwarves cotage and have one of those new style Meet and Greets in there, or if Tangled goes well, have Rapunzle's tower there and have her and Flynn meet guests.

Anyone else have any good ideas?

i haven't heard anything like that specifically -but i have no doubts that some of the "slated" ideas that were rolled out with the original plans/ announcement will be eliminated or cost cut to the point of where its not even resembling the original idea.

Its the way they are now...they just won't execute on an idea fully without cost cuts. There is also the potential that the merchandising projections for what they've designed will drop or change...forcing adjustments to the construction.
We know this is about merchandising...it always is these days.

I think Tink is a top tier character after the fab 5. I think most likely it will be included, people want to meet her somewhere.

How about a little more featuring Snow White or Pinocchio? I don't really think they received the proper Fantasy Forest treatment they deserved! I would definitely be up for a Seven Dwarfs Mine dark-ride!!

There were plans a bit back befoe FLE to replace SW Scar Adventure with a Beauty & The Beast dark ride and there was to be a 7 dwarves themed mine coaster built, but obviously this did not happen.

Pete (the DIS owner) was out in California on an ABD trip and told the podcast crew that they are not cancelling Pixie Hollow, merely scaling it back somewhat. Not going away, just getting smaller - according to the Imagineer they talked to out in Disneyland.

Like I said PH is being scaled back to a simple M&G the idea of it being its own land is dead. So this confirms what I posted.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them add in some of the Cars stuff they are doing out at DCA to the dead areas of the new Fantasyland.

Not to beat a dead horse...but florida is for REVENUE!!!! a la merchandise! read the annual report

and i think i see plenty of pixar in florida...or does one mainstream full scale attraction at EACH of the 4 parks not count?

But that said...the Carsland is perfect for the back of MGM between the existing stunt show and Midway Mania...you can't even argue this one.

And since the long rumored monsters inc "family" coaster could be thrown into another soundstage - a la midway mania....it would make for a hugely popular spot in WDW.

Car 2 next year...Monsters Inc 2 to follow...undoubtedly more nemo or toy story somewhere down the road.
They know that the Pixars have staying power and revenue potential...so they might as well base them in the Studios to prop the place up.

They just have to be committed to spend the money to do it....so far they have hesitated a little too much.
