Hi,

We are leaving for Disneyland in 3 weeks!!! I was wondering, when does Pixie Hollow open? Can you go there on your early entry morning?

Nope but you can be first in line, lol. With early entry you can line up for rides that are not open in MM thus being closer to Splash Mountain at rope drop and being one of the first in line for Pixie Hollow. I strongly suggest that you do this early in the day as it is a slow loader.

With Small World they send out a few boats and when the line starts backing up then they add more boats until they are running at full capacity. A meet and greet is usually 120 families max per hour and if you get people wanting poses and photos and such then you are dropping down to 30 families an hour.

Just how busy is Pixie Hallow these day? Last fall, when we were at WDW, they were saying the wait was 2 - 3 hours. We didn't go near it.

So, what is the best strategy for Pixie Hallow? I don't want to waste our EE day standing in line for that -- I'd rather get Fantasyland covered. Is it best to try on a non EE day and head straight back there? IS it in Toon Town, which doesn't even open until later?

I need a good plan for July. Trying to start doing my homework now...

We were there from 3/14-20 and the longest wait time was 60 min. The shortest was when we went there shortly after the park opened and only waited 30. The hours of Pixie Hollow that week was 9a-5p.

It sometimes slows down in the afternoon (when many of the little ones are back at the hotel napping). If you're there several days, check for short lines the first couple afternoons, then bite the bullet and go first thing one morning if you haven't found a short line yet.

When we were there in early February, the lines were 30-45 minutes. Last week, I saw the lines anywhere from 30-60 minutes (usually 45), except for one afternoon when they were 20.

We did try going there right after lunch and the line was about 45 mins long. If you have enough days in the park, try to do that first thing on one of your mornings.

This week, the park opened at 8 am Fri - Mon, and at 9 am Tue - Thurs. The Entertainment Guide says that Pixie Hollow was from 9 am - 5 pm. Not sure what the schedule will be when you get there, but this will give you an idea.

Pixie Hollow is located in the place that used to be the Meet & Greet for Ariel.......she used to sit in a giant clam shell for pictures. If you are looking at the castle, it is to the right, kind of right up against the backside of the Matterhorn. It's kind of hidden away, so you might have to ask someone.....unless of course you see the line of people! :rotfl:
