Just back from 3 days at DL. We did both the PFF and PH.
My take on both of these...
Pixie Hollow was one of my (and 68 year old mother's!) favorite parts of the trip!!!!

The Tinkerbell who was there that day was FABULOUS! She was just the cutest little thing with the biggest personality!! When we were at the front of the line (waiting for a CM shift change) Tinkerbelle played "peek-a-boo" through the grass blades with my DD. They got the biggest kick outta seeing her!
There was one other fairy there (no idea what their names are). Saw her first, of course. She was so pretty and really seemed to love "being a fairy". Their personalities make a huge difference in the experience. No idea who she was LOL but I really liked her.
And like I said.... Tinkerbell herself was FABULOUS!!!

Just the best little thing. My mom (68! hehe) told her she was so excited to meet her and Tinkerbell shouted out, "Well come on over and gimmie a great big hug!!!!" LOL I had to laugh when looking at the pictures because my mom is barely 5' and she was taller than Tink. LOL
Anyway.... Tinkerbell and Pixie Hallow was fabulous, in our opinion. Loved it.
Now PFF on the other hand....
Ugh.
Extremely disappointing.
We were at DL for 3 days. The lines were busiest here of course. We didn't make it day one and two (BTW, why does the most popular attraction at DL open late and close early???)
My girls (ages 4 and 5 1/2) are HUGE princess fans, of course. So we had to make it work and see them! They kept asking over and over again if they were going to see Ariel. I told them I didn't know which princesses we'd see. Ariel is the clear favorite in our house, though so we were REALLY hoping she'd be there.
Anyway.... got there at 10:15a yesterday. (Park opened at 10:00a and PFF opened at 10:30a). There was already a line, but it wasn't too bad..... or so I thought. OMG, that line moves sooooo slowly, yet we were so rushed when we got up there!
After an hour of waiting in line, we finally got up to see the princesses. The girls really didn't know what to expect. When I asked a CM who was working there what we were going to see, she tried to explain it to us and said there were 7 rotating princesses (or something like that). Well I guess I misunderstood or something and I didn't realize there were only 3 at any given time.
Anyway... finally made it to the front of the line.
Saw Snow White and Cinderella. The girls were kind of shy and disappointed we didn't see Ariel, but nevertheless said "hi" and smiled for a picture. I hate to say it, but the princesses had very little personality and it wasn't "magical" at all. Nothing like Tinkerbell.
We turned the corner for the last princess (still crossing our fingers for Ariel!!!!) and who was it???
The Fairy Godmother.
Seriously??
I mean, I know everybody has their favorite princesses and they rotate and they can't guarantee anybody at any given time... but seriously?? Who waits in line for an HOUR to see the Fairy godmother??
I was very disappointed, but put on my smilie face for the girls sake.
Anyway... made our way through and got our pictures and were rushed out. I hid my disappointment in front of my daughters, but honestly, was really, really bummed with this experience.
Then......!!!
There was a princess shift change!!!
We were so excited because we finally thought we'd be able to see Ariel!!!
The three princess left (well, two princesses and the Fairy Godmother) and we waited to see who was coming next. We were at the exit area were nobody else could see them.
Sure enough, here comes Ariel!!! I scrambled through my purse to catch a quick picture. My mom called out her name so she would turn around and I could take her picture, but all she did was put up her hand as if to say "no"
My girls we SO bummed!
They caught a quick glimpse of her, but she wouldn't even turn around for 3 seconds so I could take a picture.
Now keep in mind NOBODY else could see her! It's not like she was thinking, "oh if I have to stop for you, I have to stop for the next person and the next person and the next person". NOBODY else was there except for us.
Anyway...
Like I said, I emphasised to my daughters how fun it was to see the princesses and hid my dissappointment in front of them, but over all I was very, very bummed with the entire PFF experience. Especially for that kinda wait. Nothing magical about it at all.
But Pixie Hollow..... GREAT!!!
