We booked a 3 week long trip to WDW, for March / April this year, to tie in with waiting for DH's annual MRI scan results
(he has a brain tumour)
I arranged this (for DD 7, myself and DH) as probably our last 'big' holiday as DH has been battling his tumour for 14 years now and we thought that there would probably be further surgery this year and, maybe, no more trips abroad
One of his surgeons, trying to be helpful, decided to bring the scan forward by 3 months in order to tie in any optional cosmetic surgery (DH lost his left eye through his last op) with possible, essential neuro-surgery.
As we expected, the tumour has grown and we've been waiting 3 weeks to find out whether they will decide to operate again.
Well, tomorrow is the day we find out
DH is absolutely terrified
He went through such a lot last time - 5 weeks in intensive care, 2 months being tube fed, etc - you get the drift I'm sure.
We were all looking forward to the trip and had planned to re-new our wedding vows and take a trip in a limo (DD's request
)
The flights and accommodation are paid for and, I expect, won't be covered on the holiday insurance if we need to cancel.
I have absolutely everything crossed that we'll still be able to take the trip but any amounts of Pixie Dust would be much welcomed
Thank you
