Just got a little pixie dust upgraded from a 9a to a cat 5d verandah room for 11.52 can't beat that that's awesome

Thanks for the heads-up! I just shot my TA an e-mail asking about it. Unless I'm missing something, it looks like I can go from an 11 to a 9D for about $30!

I had some Christmas money comeing and I wanted to check how much will cost I thought I woul go ahead and suprise everyone so I asked TA and she checked and said it was a special right now.... That's odd - what special did you get cause prices have not gone up nor down from opening for that sailing.

im sorry I don't have awnser to either question all I know us what my ya told me that it was a special as far as may I have no idea I just know this will be our first balcony room and I am very excited to get this upgrade...

A lot of people have been posting similar experiences. It seems on some of the cruises they are offering these cheap upgrades instead of in the past, when a ship wasn't selling well, these deals would be given for free or sell upgrades at the port.

I checked my cruise which I think is the week before yours and actually my verandah room has gone up almost $300 since I booked it a few months ago. I am in a 5A but thought I would check prices for a 4A but I didn't see any kind of "deals".

Respectfully, this is not true.

Since I booked in 5/5 (even before then), I have made it my daily mission with my morning coffee to double check the rates. So I consider myself a bit of a 5/5 Magic Connoisseur..

When I booked, the 11C started in the 540 range. 11A was 580, and that's what we got (but we did have a 10% off special voucher to use, which brought it down to 522 in our case.) Still, most interiors showed sold out for a few weeks back to back (government shut down notwithstanding. That was an AMAZING week! Cruise rates went back to 540 and we snatched up roundtrip airfare for 120 each way, and just that quick, the rates for air and cruises have gone back up!) but now the interiors are back, and they are showing 660 on 11B, 680 on 11A and 680 on 10C and I know for a fact that my friend PIF for their 10C in November for 600 pp, so that has gone up as well. My parents got a 6A around 736 and its now at 804.

My comment was for a Dream 3/6/14 sailing. In your case, the Magic 5/5/14 sailing has been going up.

Note that the prices are locked for you based on the date you book. 11C originally started at 520 and then went up to 540 before it sold out.

How do you do that? We go the next week. Our cruise looks like it's more expensive than when I booked but all I knew how to do was put in the dates and do a new search. I logged in and didn't see an option to upgrade.

I asked my TA how much upgrade was I was just curious I was thinking maybe100 dollars around there and I asked and she found it was a special not sure where she found it all comes from my ta
