Just wondering how many of you have scored your room requests? There was a thread about it that got shut down by a moderator because guests were getting fresh . I saw something about sending an email to DVC member services, which I did. Has that worked for you?
Are you a DVC member, or are you renting points? If you are renting points, I believe the member has to make any requests for your reservation. DVC runs at pretty much 100% capacity, so I would not expect any pixie dust.
If you look in the VGF thread in the DVC forum, I wrote a post about our room from last week and what request I made. It definitely fulfilled my request and more!
DVC is a Time share and you will get what was paid for with few exceptions. With that I would say maybe 70% of the time what I request is what I got or very close within the allowed view I used my points for. A few times i got some pretty bad views over the 18 years and around 30 trips we have owned. I have always put my request in when I called Member services to Book the room or add Magic express or the like. If you are renting the owner will need to Call or email your request.
