On Thursday Pixar ended talks with Disney and said they'll find a new company to distribute their films. This also ofcourse means Disney will now be making cheapquels to Pixar's classic films. The people at Disney obviously really are arrogant idiots (not to sound offensive,) but who woudl choose making the cheapquels over keeping Pixar

Funny there don't seem to be any actual news outlets reporting this info. Did Steve Jobs drop by your house for a tall cold one after he told Iger where to go? :drinking1

Pixar's been back & forth about whether Disney will be able to distribute their movies for a while. The last thing I recall hearing was that they're willing to think about it after Iger steps up to the plate. I seem to recall Jobs & Iger saying nice things about each other just after Iger was designated heir, but everything's still up in the air.

wow, you're right, that was in january. htat completely flew by me, I never saw any news mentioning it at all, I thought it'd be pretty major news. Am I the only one who didn't know about it? and TJKRZ, I'm not the kind who goes around starting rumors. here's your news link, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/Default.aspx?id=4099682&p1=0

ummm, that article is dated "feb. 3 2004"... we all know where the devil is...

Thanks for pointing that out, I missed that. But Sara cleared it up pretty good, it'll be good if they do get to keep Pixar because then that would mean probably no cheapquels.

That is the currently correct publicly issued/stated situation in this matter.
