Pixar premier onboard?

I just realized Finding Dory will premier in theaters on the last full day or our cruise. I know the theatre on board shows first run movies and I'm waiting to see The Jungle Book on our cruise in June. But does anyone know if they would show a brand new Pixar movie on release day?

The ship is the Disney Fantasy and it will be in port at Castaway Cay on release day, if that makes a difference.

Well, it's co-produced by Walt Disney Pictures. And distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. So I think "yes" it will be shown. PremEARS at Sea are typically shown at midnight (the midnight that changes the date to the release day).

To follow up with @PrincessShmoo , If Disney has the rights to distribute, it is almost a sure thing they will have it on board for the release, especially if a kid-centric Disney property. We were onboard a 7 day Eastern and Alexander and the Terrible Horrible..... was shown at midnight and was shown extensively throughout the next day.

You can expect that Finding Dory will have a large crowd response for midnight and subsequent showings.

Disney had the distribution to Need for Speed, and that was premiered at Sea as well, it was produced by dreamworks, which operates out of the Universal Studios. Disney will distribute more Dreamworks pictures until the contract runs out in 2016.
