Pixar Place Superthread

I know you can meet Joe for Free but what about Bing Bong? He is near the pool and I assume I can't get to that area without a key
Bing Bong alternates between the lobby and outdoors. But even outdoors, I have just seen him on the deck before you get inside the gated pool area, so even if not staying there, you can meet him.

Thank you, planning to go see Joe this weekend..so might try to hit both

We are staying here 7/5-7/8, 5 people total. Tried to add 7/9 and every single room at PP is sold out?! Does that seem right? Is there something happening there on that Tuesday?

I think only half the hotel is available right now since they are changing over the other half to the new rooms. I’m pretty sure this is why Pixar place isn’t included in the summer hotel sale that releases Wednesday.

Thank you for confirming! Did you have to wait very long? From what I've seen the lines have been very minimal.
Joe plays songs and you can ask him for a photo after only myself and someone else did this

As for Bing Bong....maybe at max I saw 3 people in line but it went quickly most the times for sure less then a minute to meet him from what I saw from sitting there for 20 mins

I have a few questions about food...

Has anyone eaten at Small Bytes at the pool for either lunch or dinner? Just wondering how fast the food comes out and if there are enough tables for sitting and eating.

Also wondering if there is enough selection for a quick lunch on our arrival day at the Sketch Pad Cafe. We will be checking-in and dropping our bags around lunchtime and want to eat something quick so that we can get into DCA via the back entrance ASAP.

Is there room service at the hotel?

Thanks!

I just stayed there this past weekend. I ate at both places. I ordered the smashburger at Small Bytes (which was excellent btw) and it took about 10 min. for the food to come out. There was plenty of seating in the area. It was very nice, lots of comfortable seats, couches and tables.
Sketch Pad really didn’t have a lot of selection. They had some grab and go sandwiches, salads and pizza bagels. There were a few bakery type items (croissants, brownies, cookies). Unless you are ok with a cold sandwich or a salad, they don’t really have many choices for lunch.
There is no room service.

How's the noise level in the rooms at PP? I've been reading reviews, the walls are paper thin. I love staying at Cabana Bay at Universal, cheap, nice rooms, but you better be a heavy sleeper...walls are paper thin there too! TIA.

I thought it was noisy. I could hear people in the next room walking around, talking etc. i could hear the maids carts outside going by, doors slamming, etc. Also, if you don’t like very loud AC then you won’t like these rooms. But no noise woke me up at night. This was all during the day.

I stayed at Dockside Inn at Universal and noise there was way worse than PP.

Any reviews of the club level rooms and the club lounge now that it's open? We do a LOT of WDW trips, and other than spending one day in Disneyland Park in 2005, we have no experience with DL at all. I have a DLH standard room booked but then decided to splurge on a Pixar Place club level room. It was about $500 more for three nights, but we are a family of five (including two teenage boys), so it seemed we could get a lot of value out of that club lounge. This is for 12/31-1/4, so a crowded and expensive time of year as well meaning retreating to the lounge seemed like something we would do during the day as well.

It's the weirdest thing...I can't find ANY reviews on the club level either! I've searched for blog reviews and only seem to find ones that were done before the club opened. I will post here if I find any.

In the meantime, if anyone has stayed club level at Pixar Place, or is planning to soon, please let us know how it was!

I was also looking for information and couldn't find it! I did call the Disneyland number, but the cast member really only told me things from the website. Granted, I did try the general information selection and the line kept hanging up so the cast member was working with reservations and I asked her about the lounge.

Besides the typical things that are found on the website like the hours and the thing about no taking food out, she did say that the club was on floor 2 and may be open until about 9:30 - 10pm. I asked about what time the lounge might close and she said that it would be slightly different since there isn't any viewing for the nightly entertainment in the parks unlike the other two lounges, but she was assuming about an hour or two after the last block of service.

My family is staying there as part of a split stay with the Grand Californian at the end of this month, so I can definitely give something once we return. The Pixar specific part is from August 1 - August 4. The cast member also asked us what kind of room we reserved, which is a premium room view so she said that we should see DCA from our room and that it would be on one of the higher floors.

A few of us have compiled some info in the following DISBOARDS thread:

Club Level at Pixar Place

I've provided links to the few youtube videos I was able to find about the club lounge. Curiously, unlike other Disney club lounges, they apparently don't allow any food to be removed from the lounge, which is almost certainly a deal breaker for me.

Speed and taste..! I was glad to see matcha latte on the menu online... I doubt such a specific question can be answered this soon after opening, but if anyone happens to know if its pre-sweetened that would be amazing. :) Most places use way too much sweetener for me when they do it that way. Starbucks' is REALLY sweet but its just the way the mix is! No way to customize that.
Sorry it took so long, but I knew you weren't in a rush.

I asked and they add granulated sugar and vanilla syrup to their matcha. You cannot ask for it without sweeteners. :sad2:

Has anyone used the laundry room? Is it always crowded / full? I don't mind waking up at 4 AM to do laundry if that's the only time the washers are available.

Did he still stay out there for the time he was supposed or did he leave early? Was a cast member there to take pics for you?
I’m not sure how long he stayed out. But he was out there for awhile. Yes. I believe there were 2 character handlers for him.

Any updates to the times for Bing Bong and Joe Garden?
Also, can anyone describe the games area nearby the pool? I'd read they were accessible without being a guest.
