::MickeyMo "Well hi there everybody!"

The Times newspaper (UK) has reported that Pixar is examining possible counterbids to the Comcast attempt. It is also (here they are more vague) looking for financial backing to help them accomplish this, to the aim of creating a "consortium".

Although Disney is seven times larger than Pixar, it is believed that the company would have no problem rounding up support - Apple alone could give it sufficient leverage.

"Steve is looking very closely at this" (Steve Jobs being the CEO of Pixar and Apple).

Warner Bros. is also reported to be interested, having called an "emergency meeting" with bankers hours after Comcast made the move. Although Time Warner will not confirm, they "refuse" to deny that they are considering the move.

News Corp has "ruled itself out".

Analysts are also very dubious in regards to Time Warner - they say the one to watch is indeed Pixar.

Interactive Corp. is also seemingly interested.

The only thing I've heard is that Jobs recently paid off all debts. That was about a month ago.

I'd have to take a closer look to see what the play would be.

Yeah... I don't think we need the Warner company stepping in. Oh boy... more underthemed and off the shelf coasters.
