Just wondering...I just booked 5 round trip tickets through Airtran for our December Disney trip. It was $69.00 each way Web special...I felt this was an excellent price...Do the prices out of Pit ever go lower than $69.00 to MCO? Just curious if i should have waited. I was nervous and didnt want to pay way higher prices hater? Thanks!

We have paid 59 for SW PIT - MCO and I have viewed rates as low as $34 one way (but this was for June/July, and on SW). We typically travel for vacation in summer, so I watch these rates closer. Not sure if they have deals like this in Dec or not. I think I would be happy with the 69 rate if I were you though.

I just booked with Airtran, Pitt to MCO, for our Nov. trip. It was $69. Luckily I waited. I almost booked for $99 because I was getting nervous. I got a flight for $59 for the trip home with SW. I think $69 is an excellent price.

Take it and run!;) Especially if weekend dates.

If prices drop, call & ask for a credit for future travel.

fyi, check your departure times up until the the last daypopcorn:: , especially the return flights from MCO.:wizard: AT tends to switch schedules around, especially the NS return.

I am sure it can drop lower on occasion, but $69 OW is a great deal.

Honestly, the odds are low that if you waited, you would have ended up with a much better deal... IMO, the odds are greater that you would end up kicking yourself for passing on $69 because the rates went right back up to something like $122 OW or more.

Thanks so much for all the replies!! Now since i booked the web special...do they email us passes or will we print them off closer to december?

A little piece of advice with airtran, they are notorious for changing flight times and all together canceling flights without notice. Monitor your flights on a regular basis, Airtran will not inform you at all. Other than that, not a bad fare.

*print out your email confirmation
*if paying the $5 extra pp to select seats, you can do so now w/confirm #
*24 hour checkin & seat selection if you haven't already selected them

Just a word of encouragement - calling for a voucher for future travel if the price drops, ACTUALLY WORKS! :) Last week, I spent 35 minutes on hold with AirTran, but they credited me $70 toward future travel, as long as I book within 1 year of the original date of purchase. So, if you're worried about getting a seat on the flight - buy at the higher price and CHECK EVERY DAY to see if there's a sale, then call for the voucher credit.

Lowest PIT to MCO Airtran I've had was $49 each way....November of 2006. I thought I was dreaming. The sale lasted 3 days and I told every Disney fan I knew - 3 of my coworkers ended up snatching up tickets at that price too, lol.
