Pirates/Volvo Game The Hunt!!?

Anyone out there doing this? It is the game the TV commerical shows them buring a Volvo SUV with POC stuff... know I won't win, but like the mind to get some excerise.... it sure needs it!!

Anyway today I got the "code" today from the local Volvo dealer, registered with it, and got to the 5(?) clue...

And I have been stuck for HOURS !
If you are playing this game you know that you use the map on line and the map you get at the dealer and then slove some fairly simple puzzles with the clues they give you.
Like the first one said
"Roll the dice until they're twelve
Our destiny reveals itsedf"
and the dice frame the word, Sea. You type that into the red card buried under 3 other cards on the left of the map and enter it to get to the next part...

So all was well, and I got from Bermuda to Maderia, to Tropic of Cancer to Saint Helena...

Then I sloved the map puzzle, and got the "key" word, which was "Count"
And followed the little online hand up the ladder. It starts on the bottom rung with
-> 35, skips 6 blank rungs and then has 99 more rungs with numbers and some letters, like this
7-7, 9-90, 5-29, 3-72, S-15, 3-55 and so on...

I have tried counting each 35th letter/number combo... counting the seperate numbers , listing them... everything! Added them all up, 6 blank rungs + 99 with numbers/letters= 105 . .... 105 divided by 35 = 3....

I am going CRAZY here!!!! help, please, if for no other reason then I can get some sleep!!! ( my husband will appericate me going up to bed... )

Less then 5 min after posting that my DH figured it out!
You needed to do EXACTLY what the hint/clue told you. Go to the 35th rung, that sent you to the ?64 rung,which had the first set of cord. and the next rung number... dudddd!

The reason I did not post is 'cause I never got the 'puter back after I got DH working on the problem..and he went to the next one, I when to bed!

Now stuck on the next one... trees with moon phases....

I know we won't win the Volvo, but it is fun to play! There is a ton of different clues, hints, puzzles. None alike so far! And they seam to get harder, but when you get one done you think, "Well, dummy, that wasn't that hard!" And it is something we are doing together!

I don't know about the game the PotC Blackpearl came in 1st place on the last leg of the Race and 2nd overall .

Disney definity got it's money worth with it's world coverage just before the opening.

All you need to do is go into a Volvo dealer and ask for a game sheet. It is a map that has a code printed on it. Then you go to the Volvo US site and enter The Hunt. Register online, and work on the puzzle. You will need a Passport according to the Offical Rules... they will fly you to ? when/if you win this countrys game to compete with ? number of others...

There are several Blogs online that offer hints/ solutions to the different puzzles. If you do EXACTLY what each clue tells you to do it is fairly easy... the first 5 or 6 clues have been released, and you can catch up. The next one will be emailed to you on June 21...

It is fun to play. I got the first 4 puzzles very easy, but the one with a ladder I did not take as literial as I should have... and the last one I was so tired I didn't get it at all.... DH did !
