We're going in Sept and i've just spent a bunch of time tracking down tropical outfits for our crew. Any ideas what to wear besides an eye patch: pirate: :wave2:

We're going on the Sept. 25 Magic cruise, and I don't care what the theme is, for me theme night means khakis and the ugliest flowered shirt my wife will allow me to wear.

I can always say that I'm a pirate on vacation in Miami.

The Disney Store is selling pirate hats as part of their accessories for halloween costumes.

You could wear one of those or black shorts with a red/white verticle striped shirt.....though for me I think I will just stick with a brightly colored tropical shirt next time I cruise.

or....you could all out and get this....

Tropical night is my families favorite. We always get a nice bright family picture that night. I wish they would do this piate thing another night.

We do a lot of crafts, so we deal with a company called Oriental Trading http://www.orientaltrading.com/otcweb/application. Their catalog arrived last night and, lo, there were pirate things in it (for a pirate-themed party). When you go to their homepage above, go to search and type in "pirate" and it should bring up a page with bandannas, hats, etc.

I plan on doing the tropical thing regardless. I really don't want to dress pirate style - my tropical dress is much nicer!

Does anyone know if this is on the Eastern & Western?

Thanks.

supposible they are trying to get it on both of the routes because they think that the routes are still in the carribien they are trying it out on both the eastern this week nd the western next week

I'm confused. They changed tropical night? Is this right? I've been trying to keep up with the DIS, but I guess I've missed this bit of information. Let me get this straight. We are supposed to dress in pirate outfits? Has anyone done this yet? Maybe I could just be a tropical pirate because I've already bought my dress.

What is everyone that's cruising soon wearing?

By the way, just got my doc's today.:hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

I'm sure everyone will continue to wear tropical!:sunny:
Even though they call it 'mexical..........' night on the western, everyone for the most part is still wearing tropical and NOT "mexican" things!
Mexical, tropical, pirates.... whatever they want to call it...tropical/hawaiian wear is fine for all of these!::yes::

I'm still voting for tropical clothes - a Jimmy Buffet pirate!

I like your attitude:teeth:

My DH and I , and the boys, will be wearing our Tropical attire with pride that night! Pirates lived in tropical places, right? SO we will be dressed right for the occasion.

It is sort of a cool idea but I can't see the vast majority of guests onboard dressing up like pirates....also...they would have to print the change in the documents so people are forewarned if they want them to dress like that.

We considered getting pirate outfits, but had already purchased our tropical clothing, so I hate to spend the extra money. Maybe we'll just say we're pirates disguised as tourists.

Last summer on our Royal Caribbean cruise they had a pirate's night. I didn't see any of the guests dressed as pirates, just the cruise director and his staff (and the smaller kids from the Kids Club). Personally I was looking forward to the Mexicali night on our cruise in 2 weeks.
