First things first: The Cast
Me (Lizzy) 22 years old and chief trip initiater/planner/crazy pin trader.
My sister (Heather) 17 years old (turns 18 during the trip) and chief Stitch fan/birthday girl/my partner in pin hoarding.

This trip came about because my sister's 18th birthday was coming up and what better place to celebrate than a Disney park?! So after minimal persuasion from me ("Shall we go to Disneyland Paris for your birthday?" "Yeah OK!") my sister was on board. Around February we decided on our hotel Sequoia Lodge, booked Easyjet flights and all we had to do then was wait. I also booked 1 ADR which was dinner at Cafe Mickey (with cake!) for Heather's birthday.

So with the intro done it's on with the trippie..

Day 1: June 11th
My sister had stayed over at mine the night before since I live in Liverpool and it's far easier to get to the airport from mine. We were both up at 4:45am after not sleeping a wink and our taxi arrived at 5:30. A 20 minute trip later and we were at Liverpool airport where we were checked in quickly and headed off to the cafe for breakfast (cereal and toast with a surprisingly good coffee for me and a fry-up for Heather) After picking at the food for a bit we headed through security (minor panic when I realised I had my Disney pins lanyard in my hand luggage and I had visions of them confiscating the lot but they didn't bat an eyelid, phew!) and after a little duty free shopping as I wanted some new powder it was soon time for boarding. I have to say it was pretty disorganised! I know Easyjet is a budget airline but they paid no attention whatsoever to the assigned boarding groups and it ended up a big free for all, luckily we managed to get some of the last 2 seats together at the back. The flight was OK but I was recovering from a cold so the pressure was a bit of a killer for my ears and they didn't 'pop' completely for a couple of hours after the flight!
After arriving at Charles De Gaulle airport we made our way to the VEA Disney shuttle which as some of you will know is a bit of a scrum! We ended up adopting the one of us queues to load the luggage and the other queues for the actual coach (resisting the urge to yell "Now MOVE MOVE MOVE" army style!) When we finally left the airport we had an uneventful trip to the Sequoia Lodge where we checked in (another minor panic when I thought i'd lost my passport, thankfully it was in my moneybelt but I tell you I had all kinds of crazy scenarios running through my head about having to go to the consulate etc!)
Our room was ready immediately so we unpacked quickly and it was off to Disneyland Park, woohoo!

Spot the hidden mickeys!

First port of call was food as we hadn't eaten since breakfast so we stopped off at Le Chalet Au Marionette for a salade nicoise (for me) and chicken nuggets and chips (for Heather) Quite pricey at 10 Euros each but it hit the spot and we felt energised for our first and favourite ride: Pirates Of The Carribean! Awesome as always and of course we had to get our first daft pictures of the hol:

Next was Space Mountain, the fairytale boats that I can't remember the exact name of, It's A Small World, Star Tours, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin (picked up a fastpass for this one at some point earlier on, the standby line was never below an hour the whole time we were there!) and Indiana Jones.

My favourite bit in the fairytale boats, Emerald City!

By then it was time for dinner and what better place than our favourite DLP restaurant: Annette's Diner! We both had the meal deals that consist of a burger, fries, brownie and a drink (Bebop burger for me, plain cheeseburger for Heather) If it hasn't become a little obvious by now my sister is a very picky eater so she thrives on theme park food, as long as she can have fries she's generally happy!

Purchases today: 6 pins, Stitch boxers for my bf.

Great first day. I would love to stay here. if we go back will do
