Pirates Rehab Reopening????

We are going to be at WDW the end of June for our second visit and were disappointed to here POTC is going to be closed until July 7? What chance is there that we might get to ride the last week of June if they are testing it?

There's always a chance but..... When they rehab rides they usually are on the money like small world was. We were there in January and Splash Mountain was closed. The park said it would open in 3 days and it did. Everest was new and had a soft opening and so did stitch of the most recent I can remember but these were complete transformations. The PoC ride seems like they are just plugging in things from the movie here and there. If there was more extensive work I would think it would be closed for more than 4 months. I hope you get a sneek peek. I would say its a 40% chance you get to ride. I also think the movie is dictating the opening so if they finished early they still might wait for th movie to open. Isn't it interesting that July 7th is the release date for POTC2? Maybe they'll have a special re-opening of the ride attraction on that day?

I'm pretty bummed about POC being closed during our visit in May, this is one of our favorite rides. Are they opening it for Easter break? I wish they'd open it Mother's Day weekend but I know that's wishful thinking!

I read somewhere that they are going to reopen for the Easter crowds and then shut down again so you should be able to ride.

It is closing March 1. I doubt they will open early since it is a refurbishment not a new ride.

It's supposed to close in early March and reopen in April sometime. This will be a standard refurb. It's supposed to be open for the Easter crowd. When it closes again in late April/early May it won't reopen until early July. This is when they're going to install the new figures and effects.

I was hoping for an earlier opening too but I doubt it. With the movie opening 7/7 I double it will open before the 7/1 they have indicated. Maybe if it is really crowded.
