Pirates Open? soft opening?

Ok, we have a chance to go down in 2 weekends... like, June 30 to July 3. And the only reason we would go is if Pirates will be open. Haven't seen or heard any thing about this have we?
3 of us have PAP, and 3 don't so if it is only a PAP preview then that won't work. If we have a chance for it to be open some times on those days that might be ok.

So anyone know any thing, oh, great and glorious DISsers?

I've read on other forums that a cast preview of Pirates could happen on Jun 29th, with a soft opening on July 1st. However, at this point under 'Attractions' on the official Walt Disney World site, it still lists an open date of July 7th, just in time for the movie. Here's to hoping!

Here's what WDWMagic is reporting:

"The latest information regarding the reopening of Pirates is as follows. However, please remember that at this point none of this is officially confirmed, so please do not plan trips around these dates until they are confirmed.

Re-training of cast is currently set to run during June 27 - June 28. There is then a possibility of a cast preview on Thursday 29 June, with a possible guest soft-opening date on Saturday July 1, just in time for the busy July 4 period."

Well, thats probly as good as it is going to get, info wise, at this date! I guess we will just have to make up our minds if we want to chance it or not... and after all it will be a very busy weekend! And if we can get into our condo down there...

Guess I will do a little more checking on Mon morning!
