It was interesting that during the remodeling it was open on Sundays for previewing. We noticed it on the map.

Its not open at all during the rehab. If it said that it was a misprint.

I don't think that much is really to be seen so far on the rehab- when it was reopened for Easter, only the costumes had been changed and few characters spiffed up. I do remember seeing pictures someone had posted on here- newer costumes and a new dog at the key scene at the end (well, he had a new coat anyway).

I was under the impression that no new characters will be seen until the rehab is completely over in July.


Edited to add: ooh weird. It wouldn't let me post that website... guess the DIS must not like them or something. Search google yourself to find it: I put in Pirates of the Caribbean ride Disney World rehab in google and it was the 6th link down!

I am wondering about this too since we will arrive on the 2nd. I am thinking that they probably will not since it is just a rehab and not a brand new attraction, but then again what do I know. LOL!

no soft opening, no cast preview, no anual pass preview. just a reopening on the 7th. It's part of the advertizing push for the film. If you want to see the effects early go to disneyland. it opens before the film is released.

I just checked the WDW calender and it shows Pirates open July 1st.

I am hoping for a soft opening when I am there the 21st-26th.
