Why am I reminded of Boris Vallejo?

I suppose I'll wait til it comes out, but I wouldn't put money on my going to see this one (especially since I really dislike horror films).

The director Verbinski has a really mixed track record (Mouse Hunt, The Mexican, Ring) so who knows how it'll turn out. On the plus side, it looks like it'll be exciting, and the casting is top notch. This one smells good, unlike the Haunted Mansion movie starring king of the stinkers Eddie Murphy.
