Pirates of the Carribean closed dates?

I've read unofficially that it will be closed March-June for refurbishment, but have not yet heard officially from Disney if this was the case. Does anyone know for sure? Seems like its getting awful close for Disney to have not yet announced it. Also, any exact dates from those months, I'm going to be there 3/11-3/18 and was hoping it would still be open

Actually I believe Disney has announced it. We were in WDW last week and it was on the evening news, starting out with "disney has announced that POC will be closing for refurbishment......March and will reopen on July 7th which is the release date of the new Pirate movie". Though you might not find it in writing yet on their website, it is official. We all know Disney is not very fast at updating their website. I can't remember when in March, but the first is coming to mind. I had heard a rumor that it might reopen during the Easter break....but that is just a rumor.

I also find it strange that Disney hasn't said anything official about this. I have read the unofficial news as well, and have heard from other DISboards users that it will be closed starting March 1. No one has any way of confirming this as far as I know. I trust All Ears, but the details will be pretty much up in the air until Disney gives the official word.

I believe they have given official word, they just haven't updated their website.

It was on the WDW website briefly that POC would close March 4 - I remember because I got all excited since we're arriving on March 1. But it was taken down as quickly as I noticed it and haven't seen it since. Don't know if March 4 was a typo and should've been March 1, but it was on the website for a day or so.

It WAS listed on the calendar for MK. Now it's gone. I believe it was closed Mar/Apr/May/Jun.

OH sucks this is one of our favorite attractions to cool off in guess we'll have to find another spot come June.
