Pirates Of The Caribbean

Hey everyone,

I have fallen in love with the movie pirates of the caribbean after viewing it and having visited the ride numerous times. I was wondering if anyone knew if movie souvenirs were sold in the store at the end of the ride at the MK or if they are sold at general home town stores like walmart. I am visiting WDW in June and am hopeful that I will find a movie poster. Can anyone tell me if they have seen such memorabelia?

I'm not going until next week, but would be happy to check for you! I think mainstreetmegastore.com had some POTC merchandise. If I'm not mistaken, they had a movie poster!

I'm ususally herding my kids towards the door since the exit to the ride brings you through the gift shop but I do remember there were things from the movie there. I was chuckling to myself about Disney being able to merchandise well.

I specifically remember the swords were available because I had to disarm the 4 yr old.

I know Disney's eBay site had all the memorabilia from the show up for auction a while back, including the gold doubloons, Jack's compass, Elizabeth's dresses, the wooden eye, the figurehead from The Black Pearl, swords . . . pretty much everything. I don't know about the shop at the end of the ride, but I'd bet World of Disney at DTD might have something. You might want to try calling Merchandising. BTW -- I heard that the cast has first right of refusal of the same roles in any future movies, including Johnny Depp.
