Pirates of the Caribbean Closed for refurbishment from 3/1/06 - 6/30/06, reopening on 7/1/06 ...

Is 7/1/06 official date ?

We leave 7/2 - It would be wonderful to see the new ride - DS is into Pirates of the Caribbean

Is Pirates of the Caribbean a Fast Pass ride ?

Would Pirates of the Caribbean have a soft opening for Annual Pass holders ?

July 1 is the official date. I doubt there will be a preview for AP holders. That is the date the movie comes out so it will open on time.

I had read on one of the many WDW info sites that it will open on June 30 in Disneyland and on July 7 in WDW (the movie opens on July 7). I'm quite upset too as we will miss it (we're there June 23-30)

Ok - I could not resist.
I called WDW directly, 407-824-4321

The nice CM - who is also in love with Pirates - Johnny Depp - said...

No Fast Pass - but the line moves fast - not to worry if the line is long

Also MK hours on July 1 - Saturday, are till 11 PM (normal hours - not EE)
So we'll have plenty of time after a Chef Mickey dinner to go on Pirates - may also be a bit less crowded.

Goofy Rulz - sorry you will miss Pirates - guess you have to plan another trip to WDW in the near future. I hope a 2nd trip works out for you within 2 years - you never know what else will be new at WDW
