Pirate's Night

On the Wonder, it is the day that the ship stops at Nassau. HTH. :sunny:

Pirate Night is a deck 9 & 10 theme party which takes place on the Wonder and the Magic. It takes place after the last seating and includes a pirate show and buffet. I don't want to give too much away, but the cast members and characters are involved in a party/show which includes a pirate theme and costumes. The pirate party has replaced the Tropical Night deck party. We had a blast on the Wonder last week. pirate:

pocono...do the guest dress up for the pirate night party...

Pirate's Night is the best night in our opinion. We were so happy they changed tropicali to this. The kids had a blast, as well as ourselves. They also have head bandanas in each restaurant to give out on this night. Yes, I would say at least half the people are dressed up. Really something not to miss out on..

Mostly the kids dressed for the Pirate Night we attended. There were some Disney Store Pirate costumes. My son wore his own pirate hat. We're going to be getting some big hoop earnings and an eye patch for our cruise out of LA in May. The hankies from dinner were everywhere.

I won't stress over it. Whatever you wear will be fine because the crowd was mostly in casual attire with the hankies.

Enjoy your trip!

It's on Wednesday night (Cozumel day) on the Western Magic. :)

First I'll admit my bias--I liked Tropicali Night, but the menu on Pirate night, which does have some similarities to the old tropical night menu, isnt that great, we didnt feel. By all means, avoid the pasta dish with a couple shrimps and scallops--not that well prepared, and I am not against the dining on DCL, in general I like it fine. But DW and I agreed after Pirate night last month on the Wonder that, food wise, we'd elect to skip that menu and go to Palo's on Pirate night when we sail on the Magic in April. And on the 3 night cruise the pirate menu would replace on of the restaurant's menus altogether, an option we are glad we did not have to deal with.

Perhaps my opinion of the experience will improve when I have experienced the fireworks--I do like fireworks and the idea of seeing them out at sea in a really dark environment instead of in a city with lots of residual light around, that sounds great. We got to the pirate deck party a bit late, the lines were long, so we just skipped whatever food was there--was it mostly desserts?--and went to scoops for some yummy soft serve. I recognized a lot of the deck dance music from the old tropical party, so I must have missed the yo-ho aspect of the dancing and music. Well, not missed it--just didnt see or hear it.
