Pirates Night Dinner - Any Insights?

I really liked the menu! Especially the rum-soaked chocolate cake!!!!

I wandered into Cabanas after the fireworks on my last DCL cruise and escaped as soon as I could get out of the crush. People were acting like they'd been starved for days rather than having been on a ship where you have to work to find absolutely nothing to eat. Definite skip for me that post-fireworks thing.

Same here I eat about 10k calories a day on a cruise. I'm not going to wait in that long line for average food.

Depends on the ship. The Fantasy & Dream have two parties - one between the dinner seatings that's Mickey and gang, and one after the second seating that's more Jack Sparrow.

The Magic & Wonder have only one show, and it varies whether it's between the dinner seatings or after the late seating, depending on whether it's dark enough at the later time to do the fireworks or not.

Now that is quite interesting. We have been on the Magic quite a few times and have always had the Pirate Party and Fireworks around 9.45 never between Dinner seatings.

Related question... I am planning on my son doing the pirate session at BBB...what time of the day do people normally do that?

On a similar subject, we took our grand-daughter to BBB for a princess makeover at 12:45 in preparation of Royal Tea and the Princess dinner. While the child is in costume, they will be unable to use the pool, aquaduck, or most any outdoor activity. Since our dinner was at 5:45, she had to stay in costume for about 6 1/2 hours. It all depends on the age of the child and how much time they can tolerate not messing with their costume or makeup. Fortunately for us, our grand-daughter enjoyed being a princess and had no problems staying in character.
