Pirate's League redundant?

My son will be doing BBB to get his pirate swag on during our cruise on the Fantasy.
I am hoping to book a Pirate Adventure cruise at GF during our WDW portion of the trip.

I'm also debating during the pirate's league since he will already have a costume...Thoughts on if this is a waste of park time since he will have similar on the Fantasy?

If he is a dedicated and future lifelong pyrate, and you have the time and money, then go for all 3. If only two, I would stick with BBB on Fantasy followed by the Pirate Adventure Cruise. The Pirate's League is mostly waiting and makeup, with a little adventure and roleplay. The Pirate Adventure is nearly an hour of pirate roleplay fun. My daughter had a blast and we relaxed poolside with cocktails.

My daughter has done Pirate's League but on a different trip. That was also memorable so don't think I am down playing it. She will always be known as Constance Squidcheese now. In fact, when we returned on our next visit, we dropped in to say hi and the same artists was there... she looked at our daughter... and thinks... and says: Constance! Constance Squidcheese!

OMG there is no better Disney castmember than her.

Oh my goodness that is wonderful! So neat that the cast member remembered, I'm sure your daughter was happy!

The waiting part definitely concerns me. I don't want to use up precious park time for a similar experience that he just had a few days prior.
Maybe I'll stick with the 2.

Thanks for the response!

No way to know if it's gotten better these days. It was some years ago but it was about a 45 minute wait to get started. The process was about an hour.
