pirates : could someone please tell me how this happens?

Ok, it's Saturday morning and I'm in the pirate lobby looking for some DIS people to play with. I don't find any but decide to play with one of the other folks begging for players. After she being boots me out of her game for whatever reason I'm get into another game.

In the first stage, my partner runs for the flag, I'm guarding. Both of the ships from the other side come running at me. I for once am able to control my little ship and I single handedly blow them both out of the water, while my partner had managed to grab our flag and is on the the way back to out side.

But the stage is awarded to the other team. How in the heck did that happen?
Both the ships on my side were still in the game and both the ships on the other side were dead, how did they win ??????????????????????????????????????????

Things like this happen all the time to me. It's why I hate the minigames with every fiber of my being.

This may seem like a silly question, but did they have your flag? The same thing happened to me once, my friend told me never to shoot both ships. To target one ship and weaken the other if it got our flag. @_@ I guess it's just a VMK bug.

Did they move your flag at all? Because if the game is over, and no one has scored, then the round goes to the team whose flag is closest to their base.

No, either boat on the other side got close to our flag, I blew them out of the water before they could get it. But the other ship on my side had our flag and was on the way back. If we have the flag and are both still alive at the end, shouldn't we win that stage?

That is the way it is supposed to be^^^. My experience in flag has left me saying "what" many times when our team was ahead. It looks to be a bug of some sort if you sink both of the other ships.

You never really know who will win if you do not complete the flag game.

Not this morning! The other team had not even touched their flag yet, our team had the flag 3/4 of the way back when their last ship was sunk and they won.

Hmm... that is very odd... I will have to rule in favor of the bug then...

yep...twice yesterday my team SHOULD have won the round and it awarded the other team the win. Once in fact, I was still alive and ALL of their team was "sunk" and it stopped the game and gave them the victory.. I was NOT happy - lol I was still sitting there sailing about and wham...done and it showed me as having credits and not being sunk but all of their team had the little cross/dead thing on it but they got the victory.

It happens all the time in capture, WHY, who knows most certainly a bug.

That needs to see a can of Raid!

I hardly play CTF in Pirates because of bugs like that.

Oh Snap, you got the flag and got it back to your base before they did, but the other team had more monies. They win.

Doubly Snap, you have their flag closer to your base, but they moved around with it more often, therefor they moved it more. Other team wins.

Triplely Snap, your team has more gold and the other team has lost you flag. They do, on the other hand, have managed to sink one of your ships. You lose. Again.

I'm just waiting for:

QUADRUPLY SNAP!! We hate you. You lose. Here, have a smiley you failure .

When that happens I burn both the flags and throw them at whoever didn't check for bugs.

Thanks, for answering my questions. I don't understand how the pirates scoring is done. But I did think the last person standing won.
