Pirates Closing!

I heard about the impovements to Pirates of the Carribbean. I also heard that the ride will be closed until 7/1. Does anyone think there will be a chance they will open sooner. My dates are 5/20-5/24

I'd say no chance. They're opening it on July 7 to coincide with the release of the Pirates sequel.

I'm very disapoinnted that I will miss pirates n this trip. I'm now tempted to book a short Halloween getaway.

I thought I had read somewhere that it would be open for a week or so around Easter. They would be making improvements that aren't quite noticeable. Then after Easter, it will go back down for the installation of the movie animatronics.

I may be remembering wrong though.

Will there be new elements to the ride that include stuff from the POC movie?

I'm glad it will be back open when we go at the end of July/Aug.

I am sorry it will not be open for you though.
